Hawk’s Dropzone/Dropfleet Advent Begins + Invasion Tickets Available!
December 14, 2016 by brennon
We mentioned it during the Live Blog this weekend for the Dropfleet Commander Boot Camp but the advent season has begun from Hawk Wargames showing off some of the upcoming vehicles for both that and Dropzone Commander.
Red Vengeance leads the way, armed to the teeth and looking like one hell of a fighting force on the battlefield. You could imagine this hovering above as it lays down covering fire for infantry, the missiles launching from the side pods to blast apart defences.
Following on from that we're turning to the Nickar Class Hunter-Killer for the Scourge.
This has the look of a manta ray about it which continues to build on this feeling of them looking like creatures of the team. With a good paint job this would really pop and you could make it look like a living, breathing, war machine.
Invasion Tickets are also now available for January 28th and 29th in 2017! As well as the day of gaming (or indeed simply perusing) you will get yourself a nice buffet lunch and a Hawk Wargames goody bag too.
What do you think?

They’ve also shown the ‘advanced’ ground assets (nuclear plant, radar dish and some kind of defense weapon)
9 days of goodies to come, Red Vengeance is one that could get me to play UCM
And tickets for the Hawk open days are also on sale, so you can go root for the Dropbeasts team
And talking about the Dropbeast, remember that @commodorerob is still looking to add to the UK team – and if any one on the US side are interested in starting up a team, feel free to contact me
i’m really good at perusing, buffets and goody bags. much better than i’m likely going to be at dropzone commander. probably an invasion to soon for me but playing at invasion is certainly on the to do list
both designs look good and seeing the air to air options appearing for dropfleet is just what the doctor ordered.
lyrical description of the nicker Ben. am I sensing a growing love for those organic looking ships or have you already pulled the trigger?
I seen guys at invasion with 1 or 2 games before the tournament. ..
I hear you @rasmus mate but it would be likely 0 games with nothing painted.
dropfleet is dominating my painting and rules studying time at the minute but if I get it together in time and there is still tickets available come January I might just sneak in the back door.
the red vengeance looks good.
Looking forwards to the rest of the Corvettes, should be a very interesting class
I love how they are keeping the sea creature theme with dropfleet scourge. Very manta ray.
Absolutely no intrest in Hawk anymore. Have yet to receive my pledge but yet late backers are receiving theirs. How they handled this KS was disgraceful and I never thought I would say this but I am looking forward to when GW come round to do Epic and Battlefleet again.
