Hawk Wargames’ Dropzone Commander Adds Even More To Pre-Order
June 26, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Well, I thought it had been a little quite at Hawk Wargames for a bit, now I understand why. They have been hard at work creating even more 10mm awesomeness for their incredibly fun game Dropzone Commander.
This time we see an assortment of combat options for different factions from heavy armoured infantry to amazing drop ships.
Hazard Suits
The UCM get Heavy Hazard Suits that were originally designed to be used in hostile environments like the vacuum of space. So what does any enterprising government body do when they see something like this?
They rip out non-useful civilian systems and replace them with weapon options!
Screamers
Not to be outdone, the Scourge have two new vehicles. The first is the Screamer and its armour tearing claws, I can understand where the Screamer name comes from as the troops are being attacked by one, the last sound they will hear is their own screams of terror and pain.
To assist with transportation of these specialized weapons call for a specialized dropship. This is where the Raider Heavy Dropship comes into play as to unloads its deadly payload on to the battlefield right in the middle of the action.
Medusea
The PHR through some real mind bending devesation at us with the Medusea which represents 0.0001% of their population. These very special women have the incredible ability to harness thousands of familiars and nanomachines to create a force that has not been faced and probably not survivable. Special women need special transportation, right?
The PHR have created such a ride and it is called the Triton-X and was specifically designed to not only transport the Medusea, but resupply them with nanomachines when needed. This is a really nasty combination.
Pungari
You know how the seemingly beneficial Shaltari once approached and helped the human race, until the humans realized that their were ulterior motives involved which included the humans being cannon fonder for the Shaltari.
Did not go as planned and now the Shaltari have found a new race to throw into the midst of the battle, Pungari Auxiliaries are a less technological race that is totally devoted to the Shaltari and will fight to the last for them. These bug eyed creatures almost worship the Shaltari and create a very bad day that stands against their masters.
All of these new units will be available August 1 in store, but can be pre-ordered now. August 1st is during GenCon, I wonder if Dave and crew will have these available for me to pick up?
What do you think 0f these new troops? Would you add them to your army?

Those are really cool.
The PHR lady reminds me of the bad guy from big hero 6 tho 🙂
yeah thats what i thought too 🙂
Medusea – a wee bit strange but the Triton-X is glorious.
Yup – Hawk just keeps getting better and better.
Really looking forward to see what they have in store for us over the next year.
As a PHR player these make me happy. I’m hoping for a ‘weight of fire’ unit which is lacking for PHR at the moment.
Very rubbish.
Screamers look cool. I will be adding those to my Scourge army.
….come on guys seen better out of a kinder egg.
you can get 10mm infantry in kinder eggs now? 🙂 cool, hope they come in full units

kinder wouldnt do that … they arent “evil” like certain others 😉
You realise these are 10mm scale right?
Wot ..no resistance…
Look at the amount of infantry choices of them already … The rest is just catching up with you 🙂
