Dropzone Commander Gets Some Dual Blister Packs From Hawk Wargames
May 27, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Hawk Wargames has update their site with some new dual blisters (packs) to compliment their entire range of factions. It is nice to see them going this route when you just need to add a couple more vehicles to make your army complete.
For the UCM we have the Crossbows which are similar to Longbow Howitzers, these big and nasty guns will be able to reach out and touch someone and ruin their day.
The second set is the Thor Bombard MLRS ( multiple launch rocket system) that will compliment the Taranis MLRS Battery. Throwing a lot of explosives down range.
For the Resistance there is the Mehmed Siege Tank that is a variant of the M9 Hannibal tanks. I am assuming from the name that they are meant to sit some where far away and just keep pounding the enemy into submission.
There are several more releases on the Hawk Wargames site, why not jump on over there and check out the new and exciting units for yourself. If you have not played it Dropzone Commander is a very fun and smart game. I love the scale at 1omm and I am finding myself drawn towards the smaller scale miniatures.
What do you think about these new releases?

I can image that to lot of DZC players those blisters are welcome and nice way to get some of they favorites.
More stuff to buy…sigh
The dual blisters present a problem here in the US. Right now the only way to be guaranteed to get them is to order them directly through hawk, as you will have to wait for stocks to cycle through distribution here.
So in the end I will probably wait until GenCon to get the new stuff.
Depending on how retailers advertise that may be an issue here in the UK too. Hopefully Hawk gave retailers enough of a heads up for them to run their stock levels down before the new packs started going out but legacy stock might cause some irritations.
Unless Hawk are able/willing to recall old blisters for repacking I think it will be one of those things. Kind of like when you buy models that come with rules cards and discover that the pack you bought is from an old print run.
Great looking minis (as always!)
The Thor/Taranis set has my attention. The Taranis is something of a niche unit I couldn’t quite get around to buying, but now with the Bombard option I’ll be magnetizing the turrets and get the option of using either!
New toys same as the old toys … There are a few must buys in there …
I am hoping that Hawk have these available at the UK Games Expo next weekend. I have been saving my pennies.
