Saw his artwork at the tournament, Patrice is clearly a very talented artist. Looking forward to seeing more if his work.
The new book is going to look so much more professional – the core rules look nice, but it is just a series of photos of the (wonderful) models. This new book should expand the universe greatly.
Plus, wining one would be fantastic.
That’s one heck of an artist! Wish I could draw/paint like that!
I always get jealous when I see something like that!
jaw dropping stuff.
Drop zone commander is a wonderfully cinematic gaming experience and this fantastic artwork will only enhance that experience. Roll on the new book.
very nice
Very nice. I wonder if this is the guy who did the art for the box set: that was awesome.
Amazing artwork, also glad to hear all the new units plus the resistance faction will be in a single expansion book and not spread out into multiple supplements.
Watch it on youtube. Verry verry nice art. Like i said love tjose destroyers. They are scary
The artwork is better then some of the art books i’ve seen at school
That’s why I love Dropzone Commander! Huge pieces of art, wonderful work from Patrice (this guy got talent, man!). DzC got a very good background, i was totally in it when I read it. Good luck to David and all his team with this great project!
Gorgeous work by Patrice. The atmosphere generated is stunning, can’t wait to see more.
Hope to see more shaltari artwork in the future
Right, I that was the the last thing I need to get into this game. I am going down the FLGS tomorrow morning with the intent to get the starter box. If they keep going down this road DZC going to a game with a sensational feel to it.
DZC is a really fun game and has taken off for me locally. We’ve got a large group of players. I’m really looking forward to the expansion book. The artwork is very nice and brings a sense of story to the universe that it can really use. I’d love to win the artwork!
Wow that’s really cool piece of art work!
These are quite immersive visuals, with interesting urban details. I think they will assist in generating an inviting atmosphere for the game. Imagine if Patrice designed the terrain packs as well.
I’m holding off from DZC until I have a gap in my mini painting window (it’s about 2018, but I’m trying). However, it’s getting more difficult after seeing artwork like this; maybe I’ll start with the new book when it comes and the artwork will keep my wallet in check. Some chance…..
The Scourge are incredibly easy to paint. Drybrushing brings out the details amazingly
i love em! the feelings conveyed in the different pieces are intense. i never thought i would feel anything about e giant worm but Patrice came through! great catch, hawk wargames!
Amazing artwork. This has cemented DZC as my next gaming purchase. Once I’ve recovered from this months Dreadball and Guild ball that is
Wow. Stunning work and a great statement of intent from Hawk Wargames. Artwork to challenge the more established games.
Bravo Patrice! .
That looks pure awesome. The razor worms feel even more brutal now. Thanks Hawk and look forward to seeing the next book.
Peace
Exactly what dzc needed – some perspective to help build the individual stories. Both worm pieces are intense, but the resistance eking out a life as the city/buildings around them are reclaimed by nature catches my imagination the most. The last of us game did that very well too. I’d buy the book just based on this artwork, let alone the game.
It reminds me quite strongly of the apocalyptic feel of the movies that came out in the 80’s early 90’s
Like. This is making me want to get into Dropzone Commander
Looking forward to the new book the colour prints are stunning.
I haven’t been excited like this by a game in a long while!
The intuitivity of the rules and the stunning models are a huge part of it.
But the quality of the background and artwork are no strangers to it either.
Keep it up guys and thank you for all the fun you’re giving us.
It is really great looking art. A great way to set the atmosphere
Awesome work keep it up guys!!
they really are powerful pieces of art! that last one really is beautiful, i think is gives a really sense of the loss these people have endured, living in the ruins of there forbears watching nature reclaim there home. good job!
I love those prints, some amazing images, but I also cannot get over how quickly Hawk have progressed from being basically just one guy sculpting some minis to where they are now.
Awesome stuff. I can’t wait to see more of it.
I love it, the longer this game goes on the more it develops its own style.
This artwork is awesome. It’s extras like this that help bring a gaming universe to life.
I would like to see a PHR piece of art as it would be interesting to see if the differ greatly from other humans
Really liked the last one
Really want them all, but i love the first from left, and the third in the middle 😀
SWEET… I’ll 2nd PHR art…
Just some amazing pieces of artwork. Those worms are crazy terrifying.
Its always so very inspiring to see an artisists work like that, it gives such a fantastic dimension and sense of scale that is often lost on the tabletop.Beautiful work!
oh yes, I want those on my walls!
Someone need to convince Hawk to release this artwork as posters.
Looking so good. Been loving this game. Can’t wait for more Beasts coverage.
I particularly like the last one, the ruins give a great feel for those Humans still alive on Earth and the Core Worlds.
The last image is one of survival and hope for the future, as nature has come back despite the Scourge, and humans are still clinging on, even in a diminished technological state. The lighting in all the images is very atmospheric.
The artwork looks amazing, I’ve just started playing Dropzone recently, with the Shaltari can’t wait to see some more Shaltari artwork!
The second razor worm picture for some reason i thought the soldier was a woman, it very much reminded me of lt. Ellen Ripley and the alien movies…. it conjured up the same feelings when watching her with newt.
Great artwork, I have been on the fence about this game for a while now and once that new book comes out I will have to get it. I really like the box art on the starter set and I think this game is going to take off.
The new artwork will definitely add character to the game. Cannot wait for the new book. I am hoping it will encourage more gamers in my area to start playing. My Shaltari are always looking for new opponents.
That makes up for no weekender
That razor worm picture needs that guy that does all those moivr promos.
‘This fall, you thought it was safe to go back into the aparment’
shot of a guy getting his face nommed of by the worm
‘Hawk games presents’ another fast shot of the worm ‘Scourge: the first wave, only in theatres’
Very nice.
Very good quality. I’m looking forward to the new books!
I keep meaning to give this a try, hopefully soon.
Absolutely stunning. Very atmospheric pieces, just like you’d expect from a game with such a strong visual.
Amazing work, would look great adorning my lounge wall
Wow! That’s some amazing looking art.
The Art work is fantastic. Hawk just keep hitting all the right notes.
Bravo.
very nice .
Stunning, personally one of the most conveying artwork i have seen in recent times
always enjoyed the fluff of DZC and more with pictures sounds great.
Great art work brings the game to life
They are all very nice. Love the worms.
My birthday is April 3rd, some art would be awesome 😀
God they look beautiful.
Evocative, the scene really feel like they convey a world with a lot of depth.
Awesome art! I belive we’ll see more arts like this!
I’m really enjoying Dropzone. You passion Warren is fantastic! I hope your new adventure back into 40K is equally passionate! LOL. Great artwork! I was an art major in College, still paint, but oddly no wargaming work as of yet. Mostly Ballet stills, lol.
Can’t wait for more background depth for this game.
I’m throwing in my comment. One of those paintings would look sweet on my wall. 🙂
Fantastic artwork, really sets the scene
Beautiful work, would love to have one of them hanging above my hobby desk 🙂
The detail and the atrmosphere in these pieces is absolutely incredible! Pure talent at work right there
Interested to see more scourge host species revealed in the artwork. Destroyers and worms are awesome but very building clearing/assault focused. Would be cool to have a faster creature thats infantry bred for work outside buildings. That would be unique for DZC as in this game infantry are very focused on building clearing and fighting. A fast quadraped (maybe centaur-like) scouting species or avian flying species might be cool.
Also wondering how far the will push the non-sentient species as hosts. They started with razor worms, but are there more monstrous bio-constructs in the future?
Amazing. This range of art really helps convey the threat, desperation (and hope for a better future) involved in these battles.
This is fantastic! This quality of work will really help draw people into the game, and the lore.
Stunning artwork and a stunning game, can’t wait for the new book!
This artwork is spectacular! I’ve gotta say, there’s nothing that hawk wargames have produced yet that hasn’t made my jaw hit the floor. I’d love to win that artwork, and buy the new rulebook when its released
wonderful art. I love that overgrown building.
I’m really looking forward to the expansion book. The artwork really fleshes things out.
Love the art, hope they end up making an art book for it!
Amazing artwork! The winner, whomever that may be, will be a very lucky and enriched person indeed!
Lovely artwork, really enhances the feel of the dzc universe.
I agree with regdafeel, this makes me want to buy Dropzone! Awesome artwork by Patrice
That is some really sweet art, makes me want to try the game even more.
The two razor worm pieces are just freaking scary. Could you imagine being in that situation. I’m with Warren on the whole adding kids just amps up the tension and makes it much harder to look at with out feeling something.
An excellent move form HAWK to focus on this… on of the things DZ has been missing is fluff and atmosphere. It’s particularly important in a 10mm, as mentioned in the video. Sooo looking forward to it.
Looks great, can not wait to see what Patrice does when he comes to Shaltari
stunning paintings – honestly I think that dropzone commander could be the better 40k. it is really grim and dark…
I want a piece of this art so badly 😉
If only my hobby room looked half as devastated, life would have more purpose!
Brilliant to see the long tradition of sci-fi art is still in the hands of such great artists
very nice looking artwork!
it’s a very good set of print’s!!!!
good artist, made a real impact work
That makes the Scourge even more scary. Now that they have faces you can really see what they’ve dont to human society.
What do I think?
I think that beast is saying “I’m going to fahkin eat you!”
I like to start Dropzone Commander up but lack of funds 🙁 and by the way the art work rocks
Its good to see DZC getting some more in depth backround
Wow, such beautiful artwork!
With work like this, the new book should inject a lot of emotion into the UCM/Resistance/Scourge conflict.
I can’t wait to see shaltari and PHR artwork too! Extending the designs like this, really putting them in a human context, is amazing!
Love the artwork patrice is very talented
Fantastic, fantastic game, fantastic people ;0) What’s left to say!
I was thinking about start playing DZC, with this new art and the new “race” coming soon I will have to start as soon as I can! The artwork with the mother/father with the children is so amazing and beautiful that you really can feel the tension!
Some nice conceptual work set in a variety of situations that helps create a world where narrative can flourish.
great pice of art…
this pic can do a great show of itself in my gaming groop room ^^
Huge fan of DZC, I love this artwork, can’t wait to see it in the new expansion book !
It’s getting better and better. DZC is my favorite game at the moment our DZC group is growing bigger and bigger.
I think Dave is a genius and besides the stunning artwork and faultless composition, I think Patrice manages to bring a human touch to this world of 10mm models that is lacking in most hyperbolic sci-fi wargames. I couldn’t help but thinking of Syria when I saw the father and daughter hiding in the ruins. That piece of artwork inspired me to write my next article for a wargaming magazine. It is clear to me: Dropzone Commander is not going to leave you cold. It is going to be ’emotional’.
Love it! Great sense of vibrancy there 😀
The artwork is absolutely great. It really brings a sense of drama and tragedy to the setting and highlights just how stunning so many of the sculpts in this game truly are. I just wish we could better evoke that feeling with the actual miniatures, but the 15mm scale makes soldiers too small to capture the epic nature expressed by these pictures.
Love your art work Patrice and I can’t wait for the new book to come out. Heck, I am scared to pick up the worms now!!!! 🙂
Really wish I had talent like this! Very good.
Great artwork. It really adds a great feel to the game.
I love this art. The pictures definitely flesh out the narrative side of the game for me. Cracking stuff!
shiny…
Amazing artwork, patrice is a truly talented artist
Very impressive. Much more dramatic than some other artworks from games
I think the demand for the expansion book is growing steadily with each view of this video.
I think the new artwork is superb. Can’t wait to see more.
fantastic art, lovely stuff!
AY CARAMBA!
