Micro Art Bring Some Familiar Discworld Faces to Salute
April 3, 2014 by dracs
Well, I guess you will all know where to find me at Salute, as Micro Art Studio have announced that they will be releasing a new set of Discworld Busts.
DISCWORLD! DISCWORLD. DISCWORLD. DISCWORLD. Did I mention Discworld?
Yes, I am something of a fan of Terry Pratchett's superb fantasy series and I am equally a fan of Micro Art's range of minis based around the characters. These busts build upon those previously released figures, scaling up and achieving a superb level of detail.
These models will be available at Salute and shall appear on the online store next month. I am really impressed by the quality of them, especially Death in his Hogfather robe. They capture the character designs of Discworld cover artist Paul Kidby perfectly and are sure to have my fellow Discworld fans eager to get their hands on them.
Do you have a favourite character of Discworld that you would like to see sculpted up into a bust?

I’d like to see a figure of Death riding Binky but mostly I’d like to see the Nac Mac Feegle…Crivens!!!
Want the luggage 🙂
The witches, of course !
Well we have Vimes and DEATH already so the other one I would like to see is Lord Vetinari.
Don’t led me detain you 🙂
I think this is the best way I can portray my feelings about this.

Love Discworld and love Micro Art’s models.
I’ve started to put together a Dreadball management team using the Micro Art Discworld models:
Coach – Moist von Lipwig (Making Money)
Cheerleaders – Nanny Ogg, Susan Sto-Helit, Adora Belle
Mascots – Errol, The Luggage
Hm may have to do that myself. I have Mustrum Ridcully as my coach, ala Unseen Academicals
Do it Sam!
I will be looking to add Granny and Lady Sybil as extra Cheerleaders soon too
I have Death playing the guitar from Soul Music. Used him as a bard in DnD
They look simple yet well done.

Yup, I own all of the sky Discworld productions on DVD.
I am something of an ultimate Discworld nerd. I have three books signed, a Thud set signed by the set’s maker Bernard Pearson, a tooth from the set of Hogfather, a selection of Discworld stamps and even have a picture of myself with Sir Terry framed on my bedroom wall.
I might be a little obsessive.
Has to be Teppic from Pyramids…
