Strange Constructs & Squads For Dark Age In September
September 6, 2015 by brennon
Dark Age gets some impressive new models for September including weird constructs of impressive design and some new squads of troopers for various factions. See what you think...
Constructs
Coatlai and Tseudo are two very different takes on huge machines. Coatlai is decidedly more 'alien' in look and obviously plays on the Aztec/Mayan style that we've seen from the Kukulkani.
Tseudo is a decidedly more rough and ready looking machine. Considering its name I would assume that it has a more defensive purpose or is at the very least a lot harder to kill.
The big models from Dark Age are looking better and better just like their regular characters and trooper models.
Faith & Firepower
In addition to the constructs we have three new squads complete with leaders...
I do like the look of the very devote Bane squad although the Firestorms and their Leader are hard to ignore as a unit. I think they are all deserving of some true punk hairstyles with plenty of vivid colours.
Or, you could stick with the fiery red that probably gets this squad their name.
Does any of this catch your eye?

Those look really impressive.
Their recent sculpts have been really, really good. Great job.
Actually I think the Firestorm get their name because they’re all armed with flamethrowers.
I think it’s because they are red haired ;D
Is it indeed red HAIR…or red FIRE growing on their heads???
kickass remakes
Not fond of the mahines; they just don’t look functional. And those Coil types look like they’re part of a fetish club, but the other two factions look great.
The initial designs were all based on Brom’s artwork, of course they’ll look like they escaped from a fetlife convention.
This range is really getting better…
wow, the Coatlai and Tsuedo robot things look great 🙂
I’ll definetely jump to this one, are they in plastic ?
The range is getting better every new release.
It is neat to see them update it.
The anatomy of the new stuff is all more precise. The old range had a lot of exaggerated details and large heads and hands.
It is neat to see the old concepts (often in the same pose) re-created with more human-like anatomy and smaller details.
These are great improvements on the original models.
Coatlai looks good.
