This Week On Kickstarter…

Already established on Etsy, and growing strongly, Game Gear is hitting kickstarter to raise funds for new printers and material. Dennis was unfortunate enough to injure himself earlier in the year and can no longer work, so is hoping to raise the funds through Kickstarter to grow this little family business into a fully supporting business for them. A real family campiagn, with his sons instrumental in the design process for their current productions.

Get in and support this worthwhile campaign, help a fellow gamer out and get some cool kit.

The Kingdom of Orboz is in desperate need of some heroes. And beggars can't be choosers, so they have selected you and your mates! Grab your weapon of choice, your horse named Stoopid, or whatever else you want to name it,
and set out to achieve your mission goals and save the realm! Sounds simple right, except each of your fellowship has their own goals. And if one fails, all fail!!! So you must not only endevour to complete your mission whilst cooperatively assisting your companions to complete theirs.

This self-expanding card game is designed by team of well known names including acclaimed tabletop game designers Adam and Brady Sadler (Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game, Street Masters: Rise of the Kingdom) and artist Conor Nolan (Jim Henson’s The Storyteller: Giants).

Also available is the original Awful Fantasy card game in which you take the role of an author trying to complete your novel first. Find your plot, create your protagonist and devise your antagonist first to win! But... the other authors are also looking for their time in the limelight so will be working to stop you by plagarising your plot, de-antogonising the antagonist and killing of your protagonist!

A new take on a very old game. The game of Kings has had a face lift. Instead of taking a piece, you embrace it. Embracing pieces may be moved by both players, but only in the manner of their piece in the embrace. Free a piece from an embrace by replacing it with another, and bounce your piece into another embrace. If the enemy king is caught up in an embrace, peace is restored and the game is over.

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get a copy of this game! Spin the tokens, slap a card and, if it comes up right, your safe. Get it wrong 3 times, you are road kill ruing the decisions you made.

Turning his attention East, the young man, whom it is rumoured kept a copy of Homer's Iliad with him at all times, invaded the very centre of power of the ancient foe of the Greek peoples, the Persian Empire. In bloody battle and seige, he proceeded to quell the might of the great and ancient empire, until he had possesion of lands all the way to Egypt and India.

He was only stopped by the mysterious malady which overcame him, whether malaria, poison or something else has been under discussion for 2000 years.

This man was Alexander the Great, and now you can be one of his generals, but can you be hi best and rise to his second in command of the Conquering of the World?

When asked to untie the endless Gordian Knot, he is rumoured to have sliced it and then unraveled it from the end formed. one of his generals Ptolemy was Cleopatra's ancestor, so she was not pure blooded Egyptian, but Macedonian by descent.

Make your way through the depths of a floating space hulk, finding rooms, revealing their secrets, finding alien artifacts and items and horrors of the Great Old Ones as you make your way through the derelict hulk. To make matters worse, the station's security drones are hunting you through the station. Can you and your team make it through the station, or will your ghost end up haunting the endless flight of the massive floating junkpile?

At the top end of the campaign is a massive box, a 1ftx1ft cube of expansive goodness to guide your salvage crew through as you explore the secrets of the Lost Space Station.

Do you have what it takes to tread the narrow path between glorious victory and ignoble defeat? The realm of Mythica relies on your skill, and that of your companions to save it from the darkness which shall fall should you fail. Failure is not an option, so cooperation and teamwork are called for to get you through the tight spots.

Based on the video movies, Mythica, Quest for Heroes, this huge and beautifully produced game will be a collectors piece to show off and to play whilst watching the action unfold on the screen. Play as one of the predetermined movie characters or design your own.

I can't wait to see the miniatures if that stretch goal is reached, which I have few doubts about.

The larvae are wriggling in their foul eggs, about to spawn. As the moon sets and rises again, they shall burst forth from the depths of Kickstarter and swarm to freedom, released by the love and devotion of the Grandmas knitting them with cult-like devotion.

They are hatching in some fabulous colours, although those who know me know I think they should be any colour as long as it is purple, the others look pretty funky too.

Help these poor, arthritic old ladies lay down their needles when done with this horrendous campaign carried out in the glory of the Old Ones, and have enough left over to buy gloves for the coming winter, not have to keep knitting to make their own...

If you haven't already checked out the Princess Bride Anniversary Edition, time is running out to prove your love is True Love. It is time milk the most out of this campaign and face what you may Dread, but know is what is best for you. If any of you brutes want a peanut and a great game to go with it, get in now.

You will not have to climb the Cliffs of Insanity or wrestle ROUSs to get this game. Just make your way into the Pit of Despair that is Kickstarter games (my bank account despairs every week, I despair all the time there are sooooo many) and emerge with this game of incontheivable brilliance.

Dive in, just watch out for the shrieking eels. Don't dog paddle, swim with all your might and back now!

You have heard rumours of a mighty suit of armour awaiting those brave enough to penetrate the deepest depths of darkness in the dank deep dungeon of despair and doom. What they didn't mention was the the hideous monstrosities, the gruesome, horrible creatures you would have to brave, endure and overcome to reach your desired goal. And that is just your companions! Then there is the occupants of the dungeon to slay and loot as you move deeper in the depths of the dungeon, prepared to slay any and all monsters which stand before you, aware your companions have your back (and a dirty big target painted on it for the knife they are about to stab you with...).

Oh, and did I forget to mention? The armour you are looking for is in 8 pieces, collect all 8 by any means necessary to win the game. Loot pieces from the monsters you overcome, find pieces in loot piles and steal them from your friends (with friends like these who needs enemies. right?). And if you cant find enough pieces, just loot the place. How much loot do you need to win? All Of It!!!!!!!! Or at least as much as you can lay your grubby little mits upon!
