Crooked Dice Introduce The Pirates Of Luna City To 7TV!
March 8, 2022 by brennon
Crooked Dice are back on Kickstarter with a brand new campaign looking to add more Pulp Sci-Fi fun to 7TV. This time around they are heading off on an adventure with Rick Rhodes And The Pirates Of Luna City!
Rick Rhodes And The Pirates Of Luna City Kickstarter // Crooked Dice
A brand new set of 28mm miniatures are on the way, telling the tale of Rick Rhodes and the Radium Rangers. The deadly Saturnian Scarlet Pirates have kidnapped Prince Leon and it's now up to Rhodes and the Rangers to see if they can save him before the solar system descends into war!
Rick Rhodes & The Radium Rangers // Crooked Dice
To help in telling this story, the Crooked Dice team has designed a new Program Guide that will allow you to tell the tale using 7TV: Pulp. It comes with rules, cards, accessories and more that you can use alongside this range of miniatures to tell fun, retro stories on the tabletop.
Feature Pack // Crooked Dice
These packs are a great way to expand your 7TV collection and they always feature amazing artwork and design. It's fantastic how period-perfect they have been able to get everything to look, especially on that cover!
Pirates Of Luna City Miniatures
It also wouldn't be a 7TV Kickstarter without a bevvy of amazing miniatures for you to pick up and start painting. You can start things off with this cast of Heroes!
Hero Pledge // Crooked Dice
This set comes with the Feature Pack plus four Radium Rangers and Four Lion Guards that can fight alongside them. You can also mix things up and go down the villainous route with the Villains Pack...
Villain Pledge // Crooked Dice
This pack features the Scarlet Pirates and Uranian Troopers who are opposed to those on the throne. I love that the miniatures are all done up in costumes that you could imagine being worn in a TV show of the period. You just need to match that with some over-the-top colour choices!
All of this can then be combined into a Directors Pledge if you want everything but there is also an option for those with a 3D Printer.
STL Only Pledge // Crooked Dice
As you can see, this offers up some solid terrain options for Sci-Fi gaming on the tabletop. It makes sense to do these as a digital-only bundle so folks can set this up on the printer whilst they wait for the physical rewards to turn up!
Add-Ons & Stretch Goals
The campaign also features a bunch of Add-Ons and Stretch Goals for players to dive into. For example, if you want Rick Rhodes and some of the notable characters from this game then you'll want to plug this into your pledge.
Luna City Stars // Crooked Dice
Beyond that, there are a bunch of other Add-Ons for folks AND Stretch Goals that are getting unlocked steadily.
Stretch Goal Summary // Crooked Dice
Some really fun stuff that sits nicely as both free and Add-On components. I do like the look of those upcoming Ice Pirates and the option to get a BIG Rocket Ship for your collection.
Could you be tempted to dive in and join the Radium Rangers?

I do like the Crooked Dice miniatures (waiting for a pack of Visitors to arrive) and have Pulp, Fantasy and Lurkers… sadly covid has prevented me from wargaming and although the restrictions are over… my opponent has not been available for some time…
So I guess I’ll hold off on buying games, but may get a few minis for RPG usage.
This has finally persuaded me take the plunge on 7Tv, I have been looking at this for a long time and recently got the not blakes 7 miniatures from beast in the broch so was going to get the rules for those minis but I went for this so I can have a chance to paint the not blakes 7 stuff and attempt to make the bridge off the liberator.
Had a play of the Pulp version at the Hammerhead show last weekend – was ALOT of fun
Am tempted to get these and then paint them black and white.
How about sepia tones? Make them look like old faded photographs.
Entirely valid idea, that would look cool too
Awesome to see a use for pulp sci fi minis of this motif. There’s also Hydrs Minis with their Retro Raygun line to mix and match with

looks great an may be good to get some Dan Dare pangs out of your system.
Man I need these!
If the size is the same I’d use these with my Bombshell miniatures in COUNTERBLAST Adventure Game!
Been looking at 7TV for a while and got a game at a show last weekend, I’m in!
Also saw the rocket ship and it will definitely look great on the table – but also love the look of the crashed ones.
Have quite a few of the Crooked Dice minis now and overall really pleased with them and how fast Karl works KS like this – he is delivering this lot in the Summer!
