Crocodile Games Release Their Hardcover WarGods Rulebook
March 16, 2020 by brennon
Crocodile Games has released their new Hardcover WarGods Of Olympus Rulebook onto their webstore in two different styles.
The last of the books have been shipped out to their Kickstarter backers and now you've got access to this book for yourself if you couldn't get involved before.
"WarGods of Olympus is a complete miniature-battle rules system for playing mythic battles in the ancient world. Create a Demigod, a child of one of the Olympian gods: and lead a warband of mortal warriors into battle. Or if you are feeling monstrous, create a Titan warband, the enemies of the gods; and crush your mortal enemies beneath your scaly feet!
Years in the making, this 350-page hardcover rulebook is lavishly illustrated by Des Hanley, Paul Jeacock, John Wigley, Piya Wannachaiwong, and Tony Hough, and features inspiring painted miniatures and scenery by some of the best hobbyists in the business. It includes a set of Command Counters for both Sparta and the Titans.
WarGods of Olympus is fully compatible and set in the same world as WarGods of Aegyptus. Yes, both games can be played together, pitting your warband of Greek hoplites against the Aegyptian Children of the Gods."
As well as getting the book in the format you can see above, there is also a special version of the book bound in beautiful black leatherette and embossed with bronze foil. All of the contents are exactly the same, it's simply the outside of the book which is different. You can see a flip through of the book below...
So, are you going to be giving this set of rules a peek and the rest of their rather fascinating mythological range?

Looks interesting but if this was the one they proposed as part of their Kickstarter it has taken soooooo long to deliver. June 2013 was when the KS wrapped up and there are still two full ranges that were made for it (Trojans and Athenians) not in their online shop yet. I love their minis and I know they only have Chris designing stuff but who wants to wait 7 years for delivery?
looks a great book may be worth getting for the mythical beasts section alone.
I have some of the original War Gods of Aegyptus Stuff and it is really nice. So I will pick this up at some point. My only complaint is the length of time between releases.
I too have Wargods of Aegypyus and its a great game, but getting the minis and the time between releases has been very long.
I was looking forward to checking out the Croc booth at Salute…oh well I can wait another year.
I’ve got the pdf from the Kickstarter and this book is jam packed and worth checking out.
