Crocodile Games Produce New Abominable Snowman Kit
August 15, 2017 by thisisazrael
This hulking beast is The Abominable Snowman with accompanying Summoner, part of the WarGods of Hyperborea range from Crocodile Games.
The previous version of this mini was made in metal and came to nearly a pound in weight.
The team at Crocodile Games decided to work together with On The Lamb Games to produce this improved resin version.
To give an idea of scale, the snowbeast comes on a 50x50mm square laser-cut MDF base while the summoner is on a 25x25mm base.
Here you can see the big guy pictured beside other minis from the WarGods of Hyperborea setting.
The kit comes as a five part resin model alongside a two part metal Shaman with resin Summoning Horn to keep the model's center of gravity lower.
What do you think of the summoner and his furry friend?

That is really nice looking beast and summoner is also looks really nice.
Disney is going to have a field day with this looking like one of their IP.
Nah, not even close to an actual wampa. If these vague similarities were enough for IP infringements, then about 90% of all existing fictional work in any field would not be possible.
And the Wargods Wendigo are around for quite some time, btw. 😉
That is a cool (not so) mini. It’s nice to see the Croc putting out something.
the beast look like lodo? from labyrinth
Crocodile Games makes some really nice figures. I wish that their game would really do better than it has.
Yeah, Crocodile Games’ biggest issue is that they have so few people involved on their end. I believe one person sculpting everything if I remember right…which is why it’s taking so long to get the Olympus kickstarter to where it’s currently at…
Hopefully when the Wargods of Olympus rulebook hits they will gain in popularity.
Sadly, I think there are still a good few holes in the Aegyptus range as you have a lot of freedom when arming your units but the models aren’t there to support such a wide range of options.
I still think the Wendigo are the best looking army though the new Amazons are a close second.
I didn’t think this company was still around. Nice to see that I was wrong.
Some nice stuff on the site, but a bit hit-and-miss for me.
He’d make a cool super scenario bad guy for Frostgrave.
Didn’t they quit? Thought I read this some weeks ago.
But I’m very glad to see this. Wargods in any of its iterations always appealed to me a lot. Granted, mainly the setting and several choice models. Still the whole thing is cool as hell. Ah, well, poor choice of words. Or is it? ^^
