Sans Detour Give Update On For Confrontation Classic & Resurrection
December 20, 2017 by brennon
Announced on Facebook today, Sans Detour gave us notice of when they will be launching both Confrontation Classic & Resurrection.
It looks like we're first going to be getting a tribute to the original game on Kickstarter in 2018 followed up y a new take on the game in the following year.
What form this will actually take is yet to be discovered but it looks like they're putting in some work behind the scenes to bring this favourite back to life.
Will you be keeping an eye on what they're doing with this property?

Awesome. I have plenty of minis for this already so don’t be surprised if I want to pop over with my stuff for a let’s play.
I hear that have a full Devourers force around somewhere, such stunning models.
Would be nice to see this one make a comeback, the game and setting deserved much better than what it got when Rackham went under!
This month is my intended swan song for large purchases to be honest but confrontation being dusted off and returned to the fold might well have my attention. I had purchased the rule book and dabbled with a handful of units but not decided a faction when Rackham died. I will be watching out for their KS but it will have to be really tempting to get my wallet out of retirement.
Will they have the pre-paints again? Dang, the humans had the best and straightest spears I’ve yet seen in the gaming business.
After an announcement and a long wait we get another announcement…
Confro minis stood out in their time but I think in todays miniature landscape they would need to be reinvisioned and redesigned.
All in all I am very skeptical about this project.
This is one miniature line that I hope doesn’t change too much. I always found their figures unique and I hope they keep their original style.
I will be backing this, if only for nostalgia sake.
I feel like Rackham has brought a lot to the miniature world, and in many ways the modern GW figs look more rackhamish than old GW. (In terms of poses, dynamics, details and proportions)
Personally I think its kinda shady that they are doing, Classic then the next year going for the New game. What Classic things are we getting? Just minis then why not just have it as a pledge level.
Something to look for at least.
Odd rollout. Are they going to do a kickstarter for a reprint of the old rulebook, then another kickstarter for a new rulebook?
Personally, I loved the old Confrontation minis, but I was never in love with the game system. I could see getting into a new rules set with the old minis, though.
