Conan: Rise Of Monsters Kickstarter Starting July 31st
July 19, 2015 by brennon
Conan: Rise of Monsters (CROM) is going to be starting its fundraising campaign from Pulposaurus Entertainment on July 31st which just so happens to be smack-bang in the middle of Gen Con.
The Armies Assemble
You can see what's going to be within the two main sets below. Pulposaurus have been working up to this release for a while now, teasing the artwork slowly but surely on social media.
The campaign is going to focus on bringing out the Circle of Iron and Legion of Set sets, packed with pre-painted miniatures and featuring personalities like the barbarian Conan alongside Thoth-Amon, his mortal enemy.
Backing At Gen Con
One of the cool bonuses for people coming to Gen Con is that if you go over and back at their booth (#629) you can get yourself a free Conan or Toth-Amon miniature based on the concept art of Adrian Smith.
There will of course be a whole lot of early bird specials for people to get in on and it's going to be interesting seeing what the quality of these pre-paints is going to be.
Will you be watching for this campaign?

Nagash! Go back to The Old World! Leave Conan alone!
he cant his name wasn’t on the new guest list?
the Old World was destroyed…. he is now homeless. so Conan it is.
Wait, how many miniature companies are getting this licence?
I think we are getting to the point where Conan is less of a license and more of a public domain commodity.
And yet no real skirmish game set in the Hyborean Age à la Mordheim. A shame… that would be so awesome.
By Krom this looks good!
Definitely keeping one on this. And looking forward to Monoliths PM kicking off this coming Saturday as well, finally get my order in for that brilliant KS of REH’s Conan.
They’ve been showing this artwork for a few months now. I want to see pictures of actual models, or at least 3D-renders.
The game uses preprinted models, need to see the quality of them to.
One Conan game is enough… CONAN by Monolith is what I’ve backed.
@scarlowe – it may not be true skirmish, but it ain’t far off and there must be some rules out there you can hack some stats onto.
backed Conan by Monolith cause i liked the miniatures. Prepainted is not an option for me and having not seeing any model, not even a 3d render makes me think this is not getting the same sucess as Monolith’s one.
Besides as Scarlowe says a Conan Skirmish game could be killer.
A Conan skirmish game…..now that would be an absolute belter.
Maybe Monolith could take that up once they release their Kickstarter.
Kind of the way Mantic does Deadzone / Warpath.
They could do Conan the board game / Conan big f**k off battles with loads of blood and carnage (they may have to tone the name down a bit though).
I must mention it to Jamie from Monolith – he seems very receptive to comments from the community. Might be a nice evolution for Monolith and a better alternative to AoS.
