An Apocalypse Class Tank Dominates The Battlefield From ClearHorizon
March 19, 2015 by brennon
ClearHorizon have put their rather epic looking Apocalypse Class Super Heavy Tank up for pre-order on their webstore and it's one awesome looking piece of kit. Check it out!
Now that is a tank for 15mm scale wargaming. Forget all your World War II tanks as THIS is where its at for rolling armour onto the tabletop. I think the detail is great for the scale and the fact that it can lift up to effectively become a gun platform is a massive bonus.
...now, will it make it to 28mm?

So that thing can also transport troops. Then again it’s rather large so it does make sense that it could also serve as troop transport.
That looks just amazing. There is a precendence for tanks carrying small number of troops inside, so it checks out, and honestly, it is just amazingly hi-tech without being too indistinguishable.
Merkava can carry a few if I’m not mistaken, as the engine is in the front. But it has a smaller load-out then.
As for the tank itself, no sense repeating what I already stated before.
I’ve posted part 1 of a painting tutorial here:

Thats one nifty little kit.
if it comes out in 28mm it will be banblade sized or a bit bigger probably.
I pre-ordered there first 28mm and can’t wait to get it. I am really hoping they make this at 28mm also. Would look amazing on a Deadzone, Mars Attacks, or Infinity table.
Is it even feasible given the size? It’s resin, not plastic, that;d weight a hell lot and have a pricetag to match I bet- somehow I doubt there’s much market for non-GW 100$ kits.
That’s really nice and I like the transport hatch, looks like you can actually fit the models in it which is neat.
Mine allllll mine , mine I tell you……pre orde love on its way Mr C
