In today’s episode we’re doing a little more than just trying to look through the new Age of Sigmar Skaven Battletome but using it as a reason to discuss a popular question. Why is it that playes and fans are willing to spend their money on these so regularly? A little in this one for everyone fans and non fans alike. In the later part of this video we actually look back at the older special editions to give a true comparison to the value you dont get in those any longer.

There is no value in the codex system anymore, the 9th edition of 40k proves this, the fact that Votann are getting an FAQ even before they’re fully released proves that a printed rules set no longer works, GW need to adopt a living digital rules delivery system similar to others like Corvus Belli and convert the Codices into Lore/Art books they would still be a profitable source of revenue I think, but the fact that almost the entire 40k Codex range is illegal to play straight off the shelf shows just how out of touch the format is with… Read more »
I tend to agree though honestly, I still question how any of it ever did, the percieved value always confused me with that argument.
