Romani Allies & Cunning Inquisitors Make Their Way To Carnevale
November 27, 2019 by brennon
TTCombat has been showing off some more awesome looking miniatures for the growing world of Carnevale. The first set of models are for the Strigoi and there's not a single vampire amongst them! See what you think of the Romani Caravan...
Bound to Vlad and his Vampires, the Romani are human servants of the Strigoi who do what needs to be done in places where Vampires might not be able to tread. The leader of these five miniatures is the Blood Crone who stands in the midst of her other Romani, made up of regular women, the Seer and the Tarot Reader. I really like the Tarot Reader as a miniature, doing her best Gambit impression as she reveals the cards and fates which no doubt spell doom for her opponents.
The Inquisition Watches
As well as the Romani there's also the Vatican Inquisition who are going to be hunting down the Romani and their Strigoi allies.
Leading the way here for these grizzled weapons of the Vatican we have two Inquisition Commissioners. There is also a Spy and a Stalker in the mix, wandering through the streets of Venice with their eye out for danger and monsters around every corner. Finally, there's also a Witch Finder who is great for hunting down mages to make sure they don't pose a threat to the people of Venice!
You will be able to pick up these two new sets from Friday over on the TTCombat webstore!

Those Romani would be great fun to paint. Damn I’m tempted.
The romani will be something im picking up
Yep… Romani look good and I do have some Strigoi. Maybe next year though, as I still haven’t painted by Carnevale KS bundle.
I love the Romani models. Anyone know how they scale compared to 28mm such as Perry’s and Reaper Minis?
The Romani are great and an awesome paintjob on them! Very tempted, many RPG possibilities 😉
Should I ever pick up Carnevale I think the Strigoi have cast their glamour on me.
brilliant figures.
Ok. I am being picky here. Strigoi are a Romanian thing. So I would assume the gypsies would also be from a similar culture to the gypsies in Romania. And even though gypsies were know for tarot, black magic, witchcraft, minor antisocial offenses, they would never be associated with the undead (except maybe through curses). The models now: The young ones look pretty much ok, though their clothes are a bit off to what they used to wear here and highly light colored skin gypsy in Romania are more of a recent thing. The old ones… well… this is a… Read more »
