Warlord Work On A New US M7 Priest For Bolt Action
April 12, 2015 by dracs
Warlord Games have a new Allied vehicle in the works for Bolt Action, the US made M7 Priest.
This 105mm howitzer motor carriage was a self-propelled gun produced by the Americans, but first fielded by the British in the Second Battle of El Alamein. They gained the name Priest due to their pulpit-like machine gun nests.
These vehicles seem to be creating something of a stir for Bolt Action players and history buffs. They reportedly met with a good degree of success in WWII, so hopefully we should see this transferred over to its rules in the game.
Can you tell us anything more about the Priest?
"Gained the name Priest due to their pulpit-like machine gun nests."
WANT!
Totally gone suit my 30m gaming table! Nice looking model though, and would actually look great on the board. 🙂
Just so happens that I was looking for one of these last week!
didn’t they use these at El Guettar, when Patton knocked hell out of the Afrika Corps? I know us Brits struggled sourcing the ammunition for them at times, till the Canadians developed the Sexton… Be a fun game that, El Guettar, Panzer IV’s attempting a breakthrough, entrenched American troops clinging on…
love it.
If I get a Priest I am calling Father Jack….
