Warlord Set to Kit You Out With New Soviet Aerosan

Warlord have a new Russian vehicle available for you to pre-order, the Soviet GAZ 98 Aerosan.
According to Warlord the Soviets made use this Aerosan for renaissance in the Northern areas where their plywood skis allowed them to move easily over the snow. Why Warlord then have given this miniature a desert base I have no idea.
I think that this miniature also holds a lot of potential outside of the Historical gaming. Think about it, how awesome would these look as conversions for an Ork Speed Boyz style army, or even in the Imperial Guard.
The base just looks like it hasn’t been painted rather than being desert, but either way…
I’ve seen photos of the real ones of these and it just goes to show that you don’t need to be playing science fiction games to have wacky vehicles.

Also a bit of a pity the skis are attached to the base. I can understand why they did but the option would have been nice
The war in the far north was a bit weird all round, with the weather forming a worse enemy for both sides. You have to remember that for all the tales of Russian troops being immune to the cold when they fought the Germans, that was often just the Siberian troops they’d brought over from the very far east.
