Need to Destroy some Tanks?

If you ever needed a really cool tank model to destroy all those other tanks then look no further than the Hetzer Tank Destroyer.
It’s 75 mm PaK 39 L/48 gun was able to destroy nearly all Allied or Soviet tank types in service at long ranges (with the exception of heavy tanks) and its fully enclosed armour protection made it a safer vehicle to crew than the open-topped Marders.
The Hetzer mounted a remote-controlled machine gun atop the fighting compartment which could be fired from within the vehicle. Whilst this proved very popular with the Hetzer’s crews it did need reloading from the exterior of the vehicle.
Not only that... it looks really cool and is perfect for a conversion!
A great little TD, punches way above its weight. Based off the Cz 38t I think, a great use of an old tank chassis. Not a huge amount made in reality (under 3000) but for the Germans thats actually quite a lot of one type (eg jagtiger, king tiger etc)
Hetzers gonna hetz
Beat me to it.
I’ve always thought of myself as a Stug fan but the Hetzer does have a really nice style, and this model looks very well made indeed.
I really love the hetzer (heck, I love all vehicles based on the 38(t) chassis), but I doubt I’d buy one in 28mm. If I like the bolt action rules I’ll probably stick with medium and light tanks, with maybe a few assault guns.
I hope the rules can be played with 1/72 models, especially since I have dozens of tanks and airplanes in that scale.
Even if the rules don’t specifically cover it, it should be a fairly easy conversion to make. I had a ton of 1/72 infantry when I was younger. I think they’re still in a box in my parents’ attic. I may have to consider going that route myself if I can find them.
