Warlord Bring Two Bolt Action Tanks Onto the Workbench
November 25, 2014 by dracs
Warlord Games have published two preview photos showing off upcoming new tanks to roll out into the Tank Wars of Bolt Action.
First there is the Baustab Beckers conversion.
This Baustab Beckers provides the German forces with some large fire power, which is good as they will need it in the later stages of the war when they have to face the new Finnish BT-42 assault gun.
The Finnish forces fought both alongside the Axis forces and later against them come the end of the war, so no doubt the addition of this assault gun will be useful.
Can any of you tell us more about the history of these two new tanks?
Interesting to see how many people stick to the fact only 18 BT-42s were ever manufactured lol
So John’s cunning plan to have 19 would just be wrong? 🙂
If the stats for the BT-42 are in line with reality, I doubt many people will bother to bring it to the table.
They were pretty much immediately withdrawn from the front because it’s essentially suicide on tracks.
Also, the Germans in Lappland didn’t exactly have the latest and greatest in armor. But I guess that doesn’t count for anything in Bolt Action either.
the SD KFZ 135/1 f, 15cm 94 converted in july 1942 & 10.5cm 12 converted in 1942, crew of 4 first issued to panzerartillerie abteilung of the 21st panzer div in north africa, at the beginning of 1944 there were still 54 15cmsfh in service on the western front. all info from encyclopedia of german tanks of ww2by peter chamberlain & hilary doyal.
