First of all I gotta say they look good! Considering how much you have progressed already the technique seems to work well! Personally I still prefer the brush tho. Especially for the first larger blobs of the camo pattern. I might try this for the dots..although I’m not really struggling there with the brush either. It just needs to have a good point and the paint should t be too runny. I’d started with a brown base for the spring/ summer camo and then a pattern of light and black green but it’s only ever going to be a representation… Read more »
an excellent example of the plane tree pattern.
I should really dig out my half finished guys and paint along on the off chance I finish a unit 😉
I was just thinking if you wouldn’t get better results with a brush. The paint looks a bit blobby when applied with a toothpick. Probably that’s because the paint is already starting to dry and sticks together more.
I’m just worried that that will show up even more once the models get their wash. Or perhaps the blobs will break and are washed away.
Not sure if it matters anyway, when your goal is to create something disruptive.
that would work well on modern troops as well as WWII units.
