John, do you find it easier to base the models, then paint them? I try to paint before I base so I can get around the models easier.
While I was painting Wehrmacht Camo a while back I did some research and came up with the following three formulas (I made notes as I knew I’d forget)! Not necessarily SS but thought you might find it interesting. They are all Vallejo paint codes. The first number/colour is the bases which are quite light but this was intentional as I washed with Agrax Earth before applying the next two colours in order. AK intertactive has an ineresting set of acrylic paints for painting fall/winter camouflage. The paint is of very high quality. I think this is an option for those who like me want the right color directly from one bottle. The guy knows that peadot wouldn’t have been on the smocks but the smock was a larger area to show off the technique.
