The weathering methods are spot on! Simple yet totally effective , just how I like it 😎
Camo netting looks very promising, too!!
Still not sold on the skin tho 😉
Btw, the gun shield of the stug couldn’t stand upright without support of the open forward hatch.
The MG alone certainly couldn’t hold it..with closed hatch the gun shield would have been folded away and the mg taken inside the vehicle.
Next video… “Nothing but Net!”
love the bases you could do with a bit more up the sides of the tanks tracks like rooster tails like you got with bikes wheels as a kid ? john.
looking well there, the weathering looks spot on, but I’m really impressed with the quick basing you’re doing there. The whole force should look pretty special when done.
When it comes to the camo netting, I do long strips and then let it dry over night, it means I can cut off when I need when I need it….if only I could find where I’d put the last batch 0.o
the man cave needs a tidy something chronic.
Anyway, looking forward to tomorrow
Never thought of using inks for the camo net , always used the old stand by , white glue and water , then when dry, paint . Will have to give this method a try .
it depends on what you want to do with it, I sometimes have it draped across halftrack openings or you can have it raises over a gun so I want it to still behave like a thin net and I find turning it into a solid sheet and then painting it loses that effect. But if you’re just rolling it up or wrapping it around a barrel glue and paint works equally well
Oh my I cant believe how good these figures and vehicles look. I think you have done a fantastic job with them John. What a brilliant reference for when I do mine. If the ones I do look half as good then I will be really happy. Looking forward to the big reveal. So what’s your next project? Maybe a US force to go up against them?
Thank you
Really useful tips for the basing and camouflage netting. Great video!
Now see, after the mat colour, your gun-metal and your dirty wash…
I Like IT…
I like it a lot…
Maybe this is the one for my armour… Or at least most of them lol.
Your bases are great…
A BIG thumbs up from me…
Well done. The camo on the SdKfz.251 and the StuH are a really great inspiration for my own Stuff. I’ll try to do something similar on my FoW Wehrmacht.
