I think that is a really good idea. For getting them ready for the tabletop and even looking good from the back this is a great way to go.
oh and whats up with not having a cap on? 🙂
Oh noes, the hat is DEAD!
Put the hat back on!
Not sold on the Khaki skin at all..looks sickly. I like the contrast a lighter skin colour gives you so I’d definitely give them at least highlights or would choose a lighter skin colour to begin with.
Otherwise they look awesome considering how quickly you managed to paint the army!
Yeah not sold on the highlighted skin. But then I’m not a big face highlighter either.
I do see why you did the final highlighting of the uniform. I may try that with some of my leaders.
they are looking great.
I would skip highlight. you loosing to much detail on your cammo pattern. highlight face and skin a bit more. they look a bit like they all had tan at the moment. your painting is fantastic and cammo is superb, it would be shame to loose that. cheers and thx fr vlogs I enjoy them most now on BoW I only miss hobby lab.
I would tend to work more on the face and leave the rest “gritty” for a realistic effect, but you’re doing great.
Absolutely fabulous work! But I would definetly go for a flesh highlight. Looks so much better. Not so greenish undead.
You could just do a edge highlight on the skin. It would help bring out the details. I do think the last dry brush kind of kills the camo. From a distance all I see is the base color.
they’re looking excellent, I’m with the others here I feel a highlight on the skin will make them less like the Dead Snow SS.
Another one for the skin highlight. One question is would you do anything different i.e. highlight after the quickshade if you were doing these again?
I think If I did them again I would leave out the first drybrush. I think its killed the camo effect on the smocks too much and I should have put more faith into the qucikshade.
Thanks for the advice.
