makes me wish I had my bucket and spade
One of these days the whole team will just go down to the beach and film a vlog about building sandcastles 😀
I thought you did that already
Well damnit they didn’t invite me so we gots to do it again!!!
I would’ve broken out the spray adhesive for the foam, could always pva seal them afterwards for speed
I was thinking along the same lines… wouldn’t it have been much easier and faster?
massive cost difference and if you end up using PVA at the end again anyway its kind of a false economy.
that and you get less control and would have spray all over your sandbags etc 🙂
@warzan been there,got t shirt.
Ah right, cheers!
the game board looks superb, it would look great with Astra militarum (imperial guard) defending against a tyranids hoard.
if you’re going to do that go the whole hog, Praetorian Imperial Guard against Orks
jeez, you guys take the hobby to the next level, these look amazing… I feel ashamed to consider myself even in the same sport let alone the league.
Awesome ?
Can’t wait to put my figures on this one ?
Very impressive gents, they are really looking something special ??
Will there be a bit of green or some other scenery that isn’t sand coloured to break it up a bit more ?
In the Western Desert? No. In truth, these tables are looking damned near perfect.
@oriskany that’s exactly the picture I had in mind in my coment about how table looked.
Certainly. Like I said, I think the tables are very close to looking as the battlefields did historically (Specifically for Operation Crusader, we have the Bardia Perimeter, Tobruk Perimeter, some of the defenses near Fort Capuzzo).
I really like the way the cork bits are dispersed over the top. It is very much reminiscent of the way I remember the desert looking. Well played! 🙂
the tables look fantastic guys.
Fantastic work guys ?
Looking good guys. How stuck-on is the sand though? You might want to give it a good spray with really watered-down pva to make sure its sealed. Otherwise the office will be littered with sand every time you use them.
trust me, it’s REALLY stuck down.
Looking good like the way it turned out.
Jesus wept lads – those boards look fantastic!! Seriously awesome work!!!
Class looking?
Brings back memories of doing my hexon set at Kevin’s house about 15 years ago, not being porous didn’t as much. Though he had to be careful going to loo as all up his stairs drying.Think you got desert look right.
Thanks for putting in the effort, looks fantastic. I’m really looking forward to the boot camp.
I love the look of the cork for rocks. Where would one find large bags like you guys show in the vid?
