Pre-Order The Armoured Fury Set for Bolt Action Tank Wars
October 11, 2014 by dracs
Exciting news for all of you tank lovers as Warlord Games will soon be releasing the perfect entry point to get started in Bolt Action Tank Wars. Place a pre-order for the Armoured Fury Starter Set.
This new set will provide you with everything you need to get started as an armoured tank commander, letting you lead a force of M4 Shermans or some Panther Ausf.A.
Here's a list of everything that Warlord have said will be included in the set:
- Bolt Action mini-rulebook
- Tank War supplement
- Scenario booklet
- 3 plastic 1:56 scale M4 Sherman medium tanks
- 2 plastic 1:56 scale Panther Ausf. A medium tanks
- 10 six-sided dice
- 5 Bolt Action Orders Dice
- Quick reference sheet
- 60 card Pin Markers and 2 Rulers (need cutting out)
The scenario booklet is particularly welcome addition to the set, as it means players will be able to ease themselves into the game through a series of progressing missions, while the rest of the box's contents will then allow them to explore the game further.
We are, of course, big fans of two-player starter sets like this one. They provide an excellent way for players to get started in a new game, or for experienced players to expand their existing collections. Tank Wars is apparently proving to be rather popular with Bolt Action players and with its smaller number of miniatures needed this set could serve as a good introduction to Bolt Action as a whole as well as the Tank Wars variant.
Do you plan to pre-order Armoured Fury?
I nearly peeed myself when I saw this – oh yea baby!
This is excellent news! Great price too even just for the tanks alone.
just a pitty u dont get the free mini that you get from the tank war supplement
didn’t it take like 5 shermans to take out a panther, or was that a tiger? anyway, at three to two, I’m putting my money on the panthers 🙂
Looks great! Any idea, what tablesize will be needed to play a proper game? Not just the starter set, but with a “normal” army size. Whatever that means in a tank war world.
So I take the starter doesn’t take the US player’s feelings into account? Cause if the game is even remotely realistic the poor shmuck will lose 90% of his games…
The trick in reality is the move around the Panthers and hit them side on at all times. Thats where the game evens out.
Playing on a table top and not in real life, unless the allied player tries to take on the Panthers head on my monies on the shermans. Also the Sherman could be USA, British, Russian, French ect so the expansion of this army or theatre (as well as the axis player) is up to the player and not restricted by the author. So let’s play.
