July 20, 2017 by brennon
Warlord Games are venturing off into the wilds of New Guinea with their next campaign supplement for Bolt Action.
The book and the campaign within will see you exploring the fighting in New Guinea as both the Australians and of course the Japanese.
Many of the battles that were fought here during World War II have been included allowing you to fight our battles that actually happened as well as try our new scenarios. Mix in plenty of historical detail and updated army lists for both the Axis and the Allies and you'll have a lot of fun delving into this alternative theatre of war.

If you pre-order the book you can also get your hands on this special model, Corporal "Bull" Allen.
This heroic fellow will be helping the wounded away from the battle and could be used in some of the scenarios as an objective to help you track a particularly narrative game.
As well as him you'll also find rules for plenty of famous faces from the conflict too so you're not going to be wanting for information to draw on.
What do you think of going to New Guinea?

The speculative books looked fun but it’s good to see Bolt Action returning to actual history.
Campaign book seems nice and Bull looks very nice.
My country’s ” backs to the wall ” moment. I have walked part Kokoda track (many Australians do …. it’s sort of a pilgrimage thing) and it damn near killed me. How the hell anyone ever manged to fight there defies imagination. When you realise that the troops who stopped an held the Japanese army were militia, trying to hold on until the troops returning from North Africa got there, it makes it even more incredible. They were better men than me.
They were better men than most of us but they probably started out no different to any of us. Great tribute mate
