Get a Look Into Future Releases for Bolt Action Campaign Books
March 10, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Warlord Games and Osprey Publishing have given us a sneak peak into two upcoming releases, Germany Strikes and Empire in Flames. Germany Strikes! take us to the early stages of WWII from the very first days of 1939. You now can play scenarios where as the Germans you can conduct Blitzkrieg maneuvers as you invade the surrounding countries and see if you can repeat Germany's success or can you change history and stop the German war machine.
In the second book, Empire in Flames. Bolt Action heads to the South Pacific and all of the island hoping campaigns. Play either the Japanese or the Chindits slugging it out in the jungles of Burma. Play as the U.S. Marines and fight for every inch of some tropical atoll or as the Japanese defending every beachhead.
This book opens up the "other" front and brings in a whole new dimension to Bolt Action and a different style of fighting. Who will prevail? The Japanese looking to expand their empire or the Allies desperatly trying to stem the tide and push the enemy back?
Both books are up for pre-order on Amazon in either the paperback or Kindle edition. Germany Strikes! will be availible July 2015 and Empire in Flames in October.
I have ordered my copies, how about you?

I quite like some of the free models you get when you order directly from Warlord, so I’ll wait to see if I like them before ordering.
I am really looking forward to the Pacific and far east book. The PTO is often over looked in the war gaming community unless you are doing navel combat. Their is more going on then most people realize. You have the island hopping campaign with the Marines which comes first to most peoples minds. You have China, India and Burma which was really it’s own sub theater. In the early war period you have the Japanese fighting the Russians in the Manchuria area. You have the Philippines which can also be considered a war unto itself. It has three phases… Read more »
My favourite period is the North African campaign. I will probably pick up the Far East one but not so sure about the other. Some of the early war equipment and vehicles were definitely a bit Heath-Robinson.
I’ve got the first two and will probably get hold of the next two. Early war looks a lot of fun, minus all the crazy-powerful tanks. I know bugger-all about the war in the far east, so that’s a good one for me, even with no plans to play this theatre.
I’d also really like to see books for North Africa and Italy in this series.
