Fight In The Early War With New Bolt Action Source Book From Warlord

Warlord Games have another sourcebook on the way for Bolt Action and World War II that focuses in on the conflicts of the Early War in Europe. You even get yourself a special edition miniature for pre-ordering...
The Fight Begins
The latest sourcebook places you in the early stages of the war which include massive German advances alongside new scenarios that replicate the likes of the breaking of the Maginot Line and the retreat to Dunkirk.
This sounds like a fascinating period of warfare early in the campaign and if the cover is anything to go by we might even get to see some of the last mounted units charging into battle.
Bring Your Sword!
As with most book releases there is also a model to pre-order alongside it. This time its a warrior still stuck in the past with Fighting Jack Churchill who has his bagpipes in tow and a sword ready to slice up some Germans.
This heroic but slightly mad individual would charge into battle with sword, longbow and bagpipes. I think if I remember my history correctly he actually was the last person to have a recorded longbow kill in battle.
The model is also great and it would be neat to have him leading your units into the fray as an NCO.
What do you reckon to this new book?
"I think if I remember my history correctly he actually was the last person to have a recorded longbow kill in battle..."
These campaign books are really good. The mini’s not my cup of tea but I’ll be picking up the book.
Fighting Jack, AFAIK the only one to register a kill in WW2 using a bow
