Face A Duel In The Sun With New Bolt Action Supplement
January 9, 2016 by brennon
Warlord Games have added the new supplement, Duel In The Sun, to their pre-order list for Bolt Action. This book will take you through the African and Italian campaigns of World War II...
What's inside the book...
"Duel In The Sun takes us from the initial clashes between the British and Italian armies in Libya, and Britain’s first unexpected victories, through the ill-fated British expedition to protect Greece from Hitler’s invading troops, and the subsequent desperate battles of British and Commonwealth forces in Crete against determined German paratroopers."
Tank battles, skirmishes and more are all detailed in the book with a selection of scenarios as well as all the background information you'd need to build a force suitable for the heat of Italy and Africa. As well as that they also have another special pre-order model.
Sydney 'Digger' Robinson is shown here arming himself with a Bren gun to stick it to the enemy. He will also come with an alternative head so that you can use him as a Tommy or a Digger.
Will you be picking this up?

Now we need camel riding fighters along side with two that are brits and Italian Assault Gun for them to fight like in that one Commando story from 90’s.
I foresee a new reinforced company or two on the horizon. I think LRDG has got to be one of them.
The Benghazi Handicap is on!
These WW2 campaign books are great – and this is the one I’ve *really* been waiting for. That desert rats project just got a load closer. Thanks/damnit Warlord!
I haven’t got round to getting any of them – yet – but these campaign books are exactly what I want to see Warlord producing. Well, it’s the kind of think I’d like to see any company produce for the games they do. I’ve flicked through a few of them and I’ll be getting some or all of them this year for sure.
The timing for this book us great for me. I’m about 80% through painting my basic DAK force. The remaining bits are finishing my tank and doing the 2 half tracks. Scenery next…..
I was wondering if they will eventually take the plunge and do their own range of (plastic) miniatures for this theatre as well. Looking at the special edition figure I dare say it’s not particularly similar to the Perry plastics.
Probably not but I’d like some WG Desert Rats and DAK..just imagine the possibilities for conversions!
They hinted at it on their Facebook page, which seemed odd to me since I figured they and Perry were avoiding stepping on each others’ toes.
I pre-ordered this on my Nook app through Barnes and Noble and today they said that version had been cancelled by the publisher. I know it’s out in hard and paperback but did not see any digital version on the Warlord site or Amazon. Anyone got the scoop on it?
