Warlord Games has released some remarkable troops for their upcoming release later this month of Germany Strikes! early war campaign book for Bolt Action. This time it is for some incredibly brave troops of the Polish 10th Motorised Brigade. These were the famous "Black Brigade" as they were came to be known by their black leather jackets.
While not all soldiers in this brigade got to wear the famous jacket they were all very capable fighters and were part of one of the first mechanised brigades for the Polish Army right before the fall of Poland to the Blitzkrieging German Army.
These tenacious fighters refused to surrender and when they could not longer hold the lines they escaped over the border into Hungary and made their way to France to form up to what would become the 1st Polish Armoured Division for the rest of the war.
This squad box comes with a
• 1x NCO with rifle
• 1x soldier with automatic rifle
• 8x riflemen
For all of you considering jumping into the early part of WWII, this could be another great option to explore.
What do you think about the gaming the Early War?
"These tenacious fighters refused to surrender and when they could not longer hold the lines they escaped over the border into Hungary..."
Very nice. I’d love to see some Polish resistance fighters. My father was a young man in Poland when the Germans invaded. He was in the resistance and eventually made his way to allied forces later in the war and finished the war in the Polish forces.
They are not resistance but regular army unit
It where a wish list item, and with that family history who would not be looking for that
I’d like to see some sort of generic plastic partisan kit that could be used as Volksturm, Maquis,, et cetera. The Partisan list looks like fun but I’m not buying that many models in metal…
Każdy pocisk, jeden Niemiec
Remember to bring least 40-1 against these guys since otherwise your forces are undone.
I really like these.
If you look them up on-line you could see pictures with motorbikes. How I wish there could be at least one of them in this set…
That seem more like a support pack to follow along with this box
