Burn Stuff With Warlord’s Plastic Bolt Action Flammpanzerwagen
July 31, 2015 by brennon
To borrow a phrase from the Human Torch, flame on. Warlord Games have added another plastic kit to their Bolt Action range and to say it's hot is an understatement. See what you think of the new version of the Sd.Kfz 251/16 Flammpanzerwagen...
These vehicles were assigned to Panzergrenadier units to provide covering fire in a very literal sense. There were two flamethrowers mounted on the top of the vehicle and the crew had to wear protective clothing (for obvious reasons).
In reality there were also some smaller handheld flamethrowers in the crew compartment at the back. If you're running these in your games (flamethrowers are devastating) then you should really get some flamethrowers into those infantry squads for good measure.
What do you think of the new plastic kit?

Nice kit.
great kit, I’m getting more and more interested in starting up with Bolt action,
Very nice.
3 weeks ago I finished painting my “last” squad for my german army and thought “Done!”…
Then I saw this up for pre-order… managed to resist so far but its proving difficult!!
I like the protective hoods on the “gunners.” That’s a nice touch. 🙂
I wonder what they got for danger pay? Whatever it was, it wasn’t enough! I wouldn’t even get in the thing unless it was pulling an armoured trailer of fuel, like a Crocodile, rather than stowing the fuel internally.
Now that I think of it, every Sherman crew should have had that protective gear as well.
Hmm, shouldn’t there also be a “Rauchen Verboten!” message painted in huge neon letters on the side of this vehicle? 🙂
“Nein! Löschte die Zigarette !”
BOOOOOOOM
No smaller flamethrower on the Ausf. D.
Only on Ausf. C till 43.
like the paint work.
