After command and units when coming with my lists I always put a medic, in and for the US army put in an air observer. I also play with a sniper to pick out commanders or the enemy medic.
Every time I have taken a medic he has barely made his points back if at all. admittedly I generally go with vets so they usually die in ones or twos. If I went with regulars which die a bit quicker then his chances of saving someone would be increased.
Medics are great fun plus the Finns can take Medics with Rifles! The medic is also normally not shot at during the game and gives you an extra dice
I,m starting to play, By now our games are 500 pts. So i haven´t used yet, but they look very handy.
I´ve just recived my Panzer IV H from warlords for my 750 pts army. I´ve been looking for germans medics and the minis are not bad.
The thing is another mate also plays germans and he has the one who comes with the command squad, wich is my favourite. So i´d like to have something different.
What do you recommend me?. Convert a regular soldier or changing anyway the actual medic mini?.
In games lower than 1000 points I don’t play a medic anymore. Because when you play him you want him with 1 extra guy. So he has an extra wound but is still a small team. Most of the time to make his points back he has to save at least 4 guys. Sometimes 5. For that statistically to happen you need to suffer 24 or 30 possible losses to small arms fire.
