Z-Man Games Announce Pandemic Survival Series 2018

Z-Man Games has announced another twist on the world of Pandemic continuing into 2018. See what you think of the Survival Series.
Pandemic has always been a pretty much cooperative affair but that hasn't stopped folks diving into the game with a competitive edge and that's what the Survival Series brings to the table.
"Pandemic Survival builds on this core strength and immerses players in an extreme version of Pandemic where teams of two face compete against the same scenario simultaneously with the same objectives in mind: be the first team to find all four cures or be the sole survivor at the end of the game.
During these events, each team faces the same starting situation: identical roles, infected cities, and the same player cards in the same order."
Using roles and scenarios from variants of the game the teams will attempt to beat the tough challenges set before them and see who comes out on top. It truly is quite an awesome prospect and the winning team will even get a prize of a trip to a city of their choice from the Pandemic board!
Pandemic Iberia came out last year to celebrate the championships and now Rising Tide comes out this year to represent the coming of the competition to Amsterdam.
If you're interested in finding out more about this competition and how it works there is an additional form you can fill out HERE.
Do you think you could beat other teams in a game of Pandemic?

I am so happy to see more support continue for these events. For two people to work together against the game while also trying to save the world better than anyone else is such an awesome way to push yourselves.
I actually got to act as a Judge at the UK Nationals for Pandemic Survival at the UK Games Expo at it was amazing to see how every team handled the identical setup and virus decks differently. It went from being fun and light to chaotic pretty quickly as the final had a particularly tough set of viruses. Az
