The adventures into the frozen depths of Ghur continue in a new Warhammer Underworlds set from Games Workshop. Wintermaw sees zealots of Cults Unberogen coming up against the savage Skinnerkin of the Flesh-eater Courts as they hunt for mysterious relics.

This new set comes with everything that you need to play games of Warhammer Underworlds. You get the two new Rivals decks for these warbands plus the boards, cards, tokens and more to dive in. There are even bonus decks for you to use when taking that next step into the deck building of Warhammer Underworlds.

The warbands are where it's at though and there are two smashing ones in this set. We start with the lightning-touched

Brethern Of The Bolt - Warhammer Underworlds

Brethern Of The Bolt // Warhammer Underworlds

These warriors from the Cults Unberogen worship Sigmar as the master of divine lightning and they are have all been touched by that spark of inspiration and zealotry. They are led by the fascinatingly quirky Pater Filius on the back of his son's charred and bandaged shoulders. He and his followers then use the lightning that blessed them from above to greater feats on the tabletop. If you wanted to go down the Flagellant route in Warhammer Age Of Sigmar then you've got your warband of choice.

Going up against them, we have The Skinnerkin.

The Skinnnerkin - Warhammer Underworlds

The Skinnnerkin // Warhammer Underworlds

Here we have another band of zealots but in a very different way. They believe that they are hunting down the rarest beasts and turning them into fine meals for royal feasts amongst the Flesh-eater Courts. Gristla Tenderhooke leads this particular band of slaughterers and it just so happens that some already lightly fried Sigmarites have just wandered into their path.

Both of these warbands continue to show the fun that the design team get to have with Warhammer Underworlds. I think they are both great and could be a lot of fun for someone diving into the game for the first time and trying out factions to see which works for them.

Will you be picking up the Wintermaw set?
