Worthington Battle In The War Along The Great Lakes
February 25, 2019 by brennon
Worthington Publishing is looking to release the third of their War Of 1812 series. This time they're looking to the War Along The Great Lakes.
This addition to the game series is another big battle series for two players which can be played out in under two hours on the tabletop. We've seen Worthington Publishing work on all sorts of great battle-based experiences and this develops one from a fractured period of history.
"War Along the Great Lakes allows gamers to refight the British defence of Upper Canada against the American invaders during the summer of 1814. The British have fewer troops than the Americans and a long line to defend. But the quality of their British regulars and Canadian militia is excellent.
The Americans have stripped the Chesapeake and Champlain theatres to place its best and largest army on the Niagara, hoping to occupy Upper Canada before the war ends."
This is a proper classic wargame for the tabletop which uses counters rather than miniatures in order to tell the story of the battle. There's even a Kickstarter exclusive book which can be snapped up from the campaign which helps get you invested in the battles at hand.
Will you be looking to pick this up and refight some classic battles from history?
