Worthington Take You To Belleau Wood With The Devil Dogs
March 14, 2019 by brennon
Worthington Publishing has returned to Kickstarter with another chit-based wargame for two players. Check out Devil Dogs: Belleau Wood 1918.
This particular game, set during World War I follows the 1918 Battle Of Belleau Wood which saw the end of the war for the Germans and the beginning of the legend that would be the US Marine Corps with the Devil Dogs.
Included with the set you'll find all manner of different bits and pieces but the key thing is no dice. This is a proper strategic game where your planning and decisions can swing you towards victory or loss with plenty of mitigation of luck.
There are several encounters included within the book which focus in on different parts of the battle and can be replayed over and over again as you attempt to try and change the course of history.
You can find out more about how to play the game with the rules preview HERE.
Is this a hex and counter wargame you want in your collection?

Stupid questions but the dictionary is rather useless at this point: what do you mean by “chit-based”? I don*’t know that term and I can’t seem to find any good explanation online. :S
A chit is a written marker, could be for a game or an IOU. In this instance its refering to the game not using miniatures or standees at all but small printed tokens.
HTH
Ah, that makes sense. Thank you.
The birth of the US Marines legends.?
