We Get Our First Look at a World Shaped by Cthulhu

While the cool minis of Cthulhu Wars are continuing to appear we just got our first look at what the board itself will be like.
From the pictures of this play test game, the board is of a fair size and the game appears reminiscent of global strategy board games, such as Risk.
The game components appear to be of an impressive quality and I am really looking forward to getting a closer look at some of those pieces, as well as possibly getting some a look at some painted up.
With this initial look, what sort of game play do you expect Cthulhu Wars to boast?
