WizKids Bring Star Trek to X-Wing
March 22, 2013 by dracs
WizKids have announced that they will be producing a new Start Trek board game which will utilise Fantasy Flight's Flight Path Manoeuvre system from the popular game X-Wing.
The game, called Star Trek: Attack Wing, will hopefully be appearing in GenCon this summer, and will allow Star Trek fans to experience the cool mechanic which has made X-Wing such a success.
The game will of course feature an ever expanding range of star ships from all the most well known factions of the Star Trek universe, allowing you to recreate some of those iconic space battles.
Will there be Klingons off the starboard bow of your gaming table?

while those are nice renders they’re just re-used ones from the star trek clix. this video doesn’t really tell us about how they’ve modified the x-wing rules if they have at all. it’s about as useful as a GW trailer.
as i’ve said before i don’t think this will work very well. full thrust is a much better system for re-creating trek battles, the x-wing system is good for dog fighting which doesn’t really happen in trek.
this….game….. looks like…it….could…be…a very good…..game.
(worst William Shatner written impression ever)
looks good just don’t have any of the miranda class starship there like red shirt of starfleet
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not a Star Trek fan, but I played something similar on a lege scale run by a gaming group at Salute a few years ago so definately has promise as a game system.
If anyone running that game reads this, great set up and great game.
This should work lot better than ST clix.
I think this might be pretty cool, even without the ships being in scale to each other.
I’m really curious to see how they will work in a cloaking mechanic for a game system like that.
Its a game Jim But not as we Know it
