Wingspan Spin-Off, Wyrmspan, Coming Soon To Tabletops!

Stonemaier Games has announced a new spin-off and standalone game coming soon inspired by the mechanics of Wingspan. Switch birds for dragons in Wyrmspan and become an amateur dracologist.

Wyrmspan // Stonemaier Games

Wyrmspan is inspired by the mechanics of Wingspan but includes a whole host of unique mechanics that take the game in a different direction. Whilst it is similar to Wingspan, it isn't compatible and is going to stand on its own with all manner of expansions in the works I bet!

Wyrmspan Cards // Stonemaier Games

During the game, you will be looking to create a place for your dragons to roost. You will expand and build your sanctuary which begins with three excavated spaces. As you go, you'll excavate more space and entice your dragons in, all whilst exploring more from your Golden Grotto, Amethyst Abyss and Crimson Cavern.

Wyrmspan Eggs // Stonemaier Games

Combining card abilities is the name of the game so you'll want to chain together the best dragon cards to score the most points. Throughout all of this, you'll be trying to earn the favour of the Dragon Guild which can help you unlock even more victory points.

Wyrmspan Hatchlings // Stonemaier Games

With victory points coming from the dragons that you add to your cavern, the Dragon Guild and the end-of-round goals (much like in Wingspan), you've got plenty of avenues to victory. Wyrmspan can be played with up to five players at the tabletop but also can be played solo with Automata rules included in the core box.
