Am I really 1st if I just post here before viewing the XLBS and then go to bed ? lol zzzzzzzz
Yes. Yes you are! Congratulations and don’t let the bed bugs bite.
NO !!!! Cheat 😛
Re: Ben having different themes for different quests/scenarios etc……. I stand by my comment last week “Ben does gaming right…” *applause*
Happy Sunday!
Is what convention requires the first posts to begin with.
I’m due to sit someone down to teach and play MB:P today, let’s see how Justin does it. Hopefully better than his outline of American Football!

lol … if one ever needed proof that you really need to do more research instead of trusting the first Google results then this is it.
That is hilarious 😛
Those mischievous kiwi’s lol.
Happy Sunday!
Pff. Only 500 Kickstarters backed? I’m over 700 (admittedly some are just a few quid to get updates and show support…) 🙂
Sam, suggest you switch INCLUDES and PAPERBACK around for clarity on the Amazon page.
@dignity The draft does work a bit diiferently than you said.
The first player chooses his divinity then going clockwise every player chooses a divinity.
The last player chooses one unit and going anticlockwise every player chooses one unit, repeating this proces until you cannot pick a unit anymore. If you have still points left and you cannot pick a unit you get an Amphalos card.
I do recall Leo/Benoit explaining that very carefully to Justin in a previous video as the ABBA system.
But is it ABBA…ABBAABB or ABBA…BABABAB?
On the point of Caledors in Warhammer.
There are 3 that I know of.
You have Caledor Dragontamer a trusted friend of Aenarion, the first king.
And 2 other Caledors that were king.
Caladors king? Sounds good to me 😀
Happy Sunday guys @Brennon really strong work on the LOTR stuff and other hobby recently. I noticed you said about trying some of the painting techniques. What do you feel has kept your momentum going? Is it what you are achieving, Having friends also at the same stage with the same game and future games planned? Jus in the zone? The Mythic Battles Pantheon and the JOA Kickstarter have got me asking myself questions about how I would tackle painting them. I am not a huge fan of repeat print models but understand that in some games the volume of… Read more »
For me, the real impetus for painting has been a couple of things… 1) I’m playing the games, so I’m feeling like I should get stuff painted so it looks good on the tabletop 2) I love Lord of the Rings and the miniatures are (for the most part) awesome, so it’s nice to paint things within that world 3) Right now, I feel like I’m in the zone and what I’m painting is coming out looking pretty good (well, tabletop standard anyway) – there’s a real satisfaction to painting these miniatures and seeing them all complete 4) Painting from… Read more »
Awesome buddy, keep up the good work 🙂
Just something I forgot to say, if anyone would like to leave a review of my book on amazon I would love you forever*
*Due to a busy schedule, so the actual task of loving forever may be subcontracted to Justin or Az.
Unconditional love from @thisisazreal and @dignity what else could one ask for.
Oops sorry @thisisazrael
Happy Sunday!
Agree on the point of buying into a KS only then to have it arrive a year later and you’ve lost interest. Have sworn myself of KS for that very reason! I’ve backed a few and when they eventually arrive, my brain is elsewhere in gaming land. It really has been a case of shiny syndrome at the time, and a year later, gone.
If it’s a boardgame and turns up a year later then not a big issue.
As for an RPG based on a well known tabletop game that turns up over 2 years later, 18 months late… everyone’s lost any interest so just sits there!
But at least you have the RPG books for background info that you can delve into.
Ah… who am I kidding? I’ve hardly even looked at the books since I got them.
Great funny show guys if you haven’t play the game yet any change you can film the Mythic battle for everyone that’s thinking of getting into Mythic.
Sam, I feel your pain. I once did two days of presentations in Spanish, one and a half days of which I was confusing “content” (content you read on your mobile device) and “happy”. Finally the marketing manager could take no more and saved me.
The worst I did is not fit for a family tabletop site.
I once backed out (or dropped to £1) and spoiled a stretch goal. It was some staggeringly successful KS but I still feel bad.
Happy Sunday! Justin! You can make science putty (or Slime as we call it at the Aquarium I volunteer at) at home with PVA Glue, Borax and Water! Use less water than some of the internet ‘recipes’ suggest and you get a firmer, less flowing slime putty that should hold well enough to spray over. Too wet though and it’ll just flow off the mini like silly putty. On music and gaming, we have all the Star Wars soundtracks on hand for all forms of SW gaming. They’ll be coming out again this year for Legion and more SW RPG.
Glad to see Wasteman get a mention. It’s still alive and well, gaining in popularity, and had several more successful kickstarters after the first. There’s even a very cool comic set in the Wasteman universe.
Great show again guys.
I’ve just taught 6 players simultaneously how to play MBP. I was running 2x 3v3 games. Olympus is definitely the easiest map to use. We also used the Labyrinth but ignored levels and blocking walls.
It was tricky at times, mainly because looking for characters from the mountains of stuff then discovering the guys in the other game had claimed them already, but everybody loved the game and is eager to play again.
Thanks for the show guys!
Congrats on the book @dracs ! Hope it does well.
@brennon : really like your new minis, keep up the good guys in LOTR! and maybe the bad guys, just because 😉
Going to paint up a Ringwraith and Eomer this week – so throwing a bad guy into the mix @duster 🙂
Great!
Happy Sunday!!!
My magical item would be a cloak of healing.
How it would work is you can only use it once per game on a god or titan, and you roll a dice and that’s how many wounds you regain, re-rolling any blanks.
Really focused in on Sam @dracs comment about people in a coma being on a train and the outcome if they took a ticket. I was in a coma as a child following a head injury and dreamt I was on a bus going down a steep hill in our town. My mother came up to me and took me by the hand and we walked to the front of the bus, half way down the hill the bus stopped and we got off at which point I woke up.
That’s a really interesting bit of parallel. Funnily enough, that same friend had another story of how when her grandfather passed away she dreamed of him getting in a car and driving away on the exact day after his death that Japanese Buddhist tradition believes the souls moves on to become an ancestor.
Yes over the years I have heard of similar things happening too. In my case I was only 7 at the time and it was 1964 so I was not exactly exposed to any outside suggestions. It was only as I grew up that I realised significance of the dream. I can still see it now.
Happy Sunday!
Another great show guys!
Thanks for the shoutout, sorry to ramble on so long, will keep it short this time 🙂
The thing is I’ll be listening to Queen when playing Highlander later in the year!!
hmm I need to get someone to get back into middle earthing with me now. Like Ben I switched away from black priming – first changed to spraying everything white but have now gone to mostly grey, with maybe a light overspray of white. Though of course for my first few mythic battle models I sprayed them army painter brown…as that was all I had to hand and I HAD to start painting some, worked well for the minotaur 🙂 (will try posting them up if I find time!). Haven’t tried anything out of my Poseidon box yet so looking… Read more »
Welcome back Sam! Great to see you back mate!
Also, wonderful to hear of my favourite game: the Hobbit/LotR SBG getting some BoW love.
Great ep. guys!
