Happy Sunday!
Really excited to have gotten a community spotlight 😀
Kudos indeed chap – really neat seeing more small-scale stuff.
Happy Sunday!
In answer to the toilet quandry, cod piece, attached by magnets or Velcro…
@dracs looks like he’s channeling Lou ferrigno in that pic on the homepage
my thinking exactly. Oh, if you have some time to help me out with something for the project, would you mind dropping me a message @nakchak ?
@brennon Although I do love 6mm for fantasy I think you are better off going to 10mm. For 6mm fantasy all there is from memory is a bit from Baccus some old molds from Irregular and a smallish range from perfect 6 miniatures. Microworld games in the states has a lot but I guess you would need to consider postage costs. In 10mm you have a much bigger variety due to in many ways the continued popularity of Warmaster and that the original Warmaster miniatures are now far too expensive on eBay and people want cheaper alternatives
I will have to take that into consideration @torros and see what is available in 10mm. Will have a peek online – I’ve seen a lot of 15mm Fantasy but it would be interesting to try 10mm.
Happy Sunday!
Happy Sunday all
Isn’t this just a reskin of the old Viking game Hnefatafl?
I meant isn’t Thud just a reskin of the old Viking game Hnefatafl?
Slightly different, but I believe it is heavily based upon the Tafl family of games, same as Brandubh.
I am glad that finally 6mm is starting to get some recognition 🙂
All your hard work paid off lol
Thanks for the show.
lovely to see boy,
Have John or Justin got a forum topic for their cosplay armour? It’s relevant to my interests! Just about to embark on a kylo Ren helmet as my first project so it’d be nice to see their work progress
If they haven’t already got one, maybe message them on the site @redyeti and see if they’ll put one together.
I will put one together today 🙂
yay! Thanks guys! good suggestion Ben, don’t know why I didn’t think of it!
Have fun with cosplaying guys 🙂 Looking forward to seeing it in person 🙂
A fabulous show guys.
Good to have John on the show. Nice to hear what everyone on the team is excited about. I know Lloyd is busy working on the site, but it would be nice to hear his take on the new platform. Great show team.
@dignity They have a raccoon so go buy Burrows and Badgers.
Here is the one I painted some time ago: https://www.beastsofwar.com/groups/painting/forum/topic/amachans-finished-minis/?topic_page=1&num=15&_wpnonce=ca83a6ad0d#post-229305
Justin you will never regret drinking Nuka Cola. You will regret not putting in a proper waste disposal system in your suit.
Happy Sunday everyone! Another great show, I really enjoyed the coverage of some of the older games. I do love looking at game mechanics in their pure and abstract form, then looking and seeing their applications in more modern games. Ancient game mechanics is about as close as I can get to being excited about historical gaming 🙂 Afterall I did list chess as one of my four most influential games of all time. Also great to hear everyone’s stories about the games that have influenced them, lots of heartwarming and thought-provoking stuff. I do love RPG’s in off-kilter setups.… Read more »
Great show, and not because Warren wasn’t there.
