Another great show.
My favorite minis are the chaos ones, the sculpts are amazing, so great detail and look really dynamics
I have to admit that the new Chaos marine miniatures are looking pretty good. I still wonder if they are getting some none marine options like traitor guard.
Im liking the new Chaos stuff. Not sure if it beats the Geanstealer cult for my affections though.
I’m sure I could find something to do with both sides
Chaos all the way
As an “grumpy” aside, I noticed the conditions for winning prizes on the Weekender has changed from “Comment for a chance to win” to “like, subscribe, share and comment to be in with a chance of winning”. Now for those of us on the OTT site it’s pretty impossible to do the “Share” option, and totally impossible for those of us that don’t dangle our feet (and precious hobby time) into the evils of “social media” (and facebooktwitterapps and such like, ludditegrognard grumble). Been wondering why all the winners for the weekender prizes have been on YouTube…….. So it would… Read more »
I’ve never played Warhammer 40K, but because I was a US Marine (a long time ago), I have no doubt the Space Marines would be my favorite faction. The minis look cool, their paint schemes are incredible and they’re some badass motherfuckers! Semper Fi! OORAH!
Once A Marine, Always A Marine
Slings are super easy to make I do it all the time. $2 worth of Jute String makes about two and a half slings, half and hour each to make and you’re good to go. Before I first used one I just wrote them off but once you see just how far and fast you can sling a rock it makes complete sense. The Romans would sometimes issue them to regular Legionaries, they’re so easy to use you can deploy them enmasse with little experience. Nice to see an old Hammer Studio reference @avernos if anyone’s going to steal your… Read more »
I prefer to think of it as Air Commodore William Raymond stealing the death star to help out his old buddy Biggles
Does that mean Christopher Lee is Algy?
It’s the Weekend!
Happy Weekend!
(Tut… People’s manners nowadays…) 😉
Looking forward to locking gazes with Gerry across the head-tops that will be the intervening treacherous terrain of the Salute peoplescape!
I’m bringing platform shoes
Chaos!!!Finally my favorite faction Chaos, Black Legion espacially, is getting the love they neede.
I dig the idea of the Vanguard being Space Marines who actually DO get Tactical, but I think the Chaos Space Marines portion just looks more interesting….
Deamonkin for me…. those Primaris are a bit too deus ex machina for me
I think for this one I would wan the vanguard but rather than keep them as they are I would look to maybe do some work on them to make them a little corrupt as if they were turning traitor and had defected to a planet with daemonkin.
Happy Weekend all.
I’m a long time Space Marine player,so it’s the Primaris for me.Those new jump troops are looking great.Gripping Beast have announced a pre-order for the ( old ? ) Revenant Warband and a Shieldmaiden Warband as well.
For doing shots a lot of the time the slinger would just stuck his thumb into a bucket of sand and use that as the mould. They have found some shot with finger(or is that thumb) prints on them
It’s a bit hard not to vote Chaos on this one – the new stuff looks fantastic. Keen to see how it scales with the older models – is the “re-scaling” of 40k still evidenced here…
Just before I start watching, I am guessing Lloyd has shunted some trains into the running order… he looks too chuffed!
Please don’t wave your hands in the air when doing Kermit hands. I wasn’t concentrating properly and thought you were doing the International sign for distress and phoned the police. I have to say they weren’t very understanding and I’m hoping to get away with a community service order for wasting police time
lol 😀
At first I liked the Chaos but those Marines have really grown on me after seeing some conversions of the Suppressors.
Although I prefer Imperial Guard, in Shadowspear it’s the Chaos minis that intrigue me. So, we will see!
Imperial Space Marines – and add them to my Dark Angels and Black Templars. After reading many Gaunt’s Ghosts novels, I find myself instinctively fighting against The Forces of Chaos.
Really like the chaos marines. But the marines look cool. Gonna have to get this and convert the marines to Space Wolves
I like this one (chaos) but I also like this one (marines) if you win a copy you collect both. This is one great boxed set.
Ha, airports. I just got my wife to bring back the new Night’s Watch starterset for A Song Of Ice And Fire from America for me. She put it in her handluggage so it wouldn’t get damaged on her way back. She wasn’t impressed because she got stopped and had to take the box out. They had to put the box through the scanner three times before they let her through. I think that’s the last time she brings anything back for me from America. 🙂 I normally don’t like Chaos miniatures but I really like these ones in the… Read more »
