Dive Into Warhammer Underworlds: Wintermaw Sooner Than You Think!

Hot off the announcement at Adepticon last week, Games Workshop taking pre-orders for the next boxed set for Warhammer Underworlds. Wintermaw will be available to pre-order this weekend featuring two rather unique warbands battling against each other in The Mortal Realms.

Delving ever deeper into the Deathgorge, these two warbands are looking to claim all manner of arcane relics for their patrons. Not is all quite as easy as that though as the monstrous rimewyrms are weaving their way through the ice, ready to snack on anyone who strays from the path.
On the one side of this conflict, you have the followers of Sigmar and the Brotherhood Of The Bolt.
Brotherhood Of The Bolt // Warhammer Underworlds
As we discussed last week, the Brotherhood Of The Bolt is a band of wild fanatics who worship Sigmar in his lightning form. They believe that if they are touched by the lightning of their God King, they are imbued with a portion of his power, enabling them to best their foes. They are all conduits to that power as you can see! Some great new miniatures take the idea of the Flagellant in a different direction within The Mortal Realms.
The Brotherhood Of The Bolt are going up against The Skinnerkyn of the Flesh-eater Courts. They believe themselves to be hunters and providers, picking the choicest cuts from their kills and bringing them back to the table to be served in lavish banquets.

Of course, they don't just turn the odd deer into a meal fit for a Ghoul King. Instead, they will ravage and slice through all manner of different foes in their maddened frenzy. I don't think these folks are going to be walking away with a Michelin Star any time soon. Well, they might do but they have probably eaten the judge by that point.
Wintermaw becomes the new core set for Warhammer Underworlds and therefore a good starting point for newcomers to the game. You get the two warbands, two new Rivals Decks (making the game easy to pick up and play) and two Universal Rivals Decks which can be used by any warband. You'll also find everything else you need to play within the box.
Are you tempted by Warhammer Underworlds: Wintermaw?
