Games Workshop has been sharing a whole bunch of news from Gen Con 2021 this year. The first big bit of news that dropped yesterday came with the announcement of Warhammer Underworlds: Harrowdeep which continues the narrative of this skirmish board game.

Much like with previous sets, Harrowdeep gives you everything that you need for diving in and playing out battles between skirmishing forces. You get tokens, dice, rules and more and of course the two factions. Here, Stormcast Eternals take on Kruleboys in a labyrinthine expanse beneath a shadowy sea.

This forgotten dungeon in the darkness of the Realm Of Shadow (Ulgu), has been lost to darkness and so seems like the perfect place for the forces of Destruction to plot and conspire. That also means that it seems apt to send in the might of Sigmar to burn them away with crackling lightning.

Xandire's Truthseekers // Warhammer Underworlds

The newest miniatures for Warhammer Underworlds match the new forces that were added into Warhammer Age Of Sigmar proper. Xandire's Truthseekers adds a collection of three warriors wearing their Thunderstrike armour, ready to do their duty. You also get that awesome bird companion!

On the other side of things, you have Da Kunnin' Krew who look like they are ready to go hunt down hapless individuals for their twisted prisons.

I like that we're getting another look at the Hobgrots within this set as well as more of the Kruleboys themselves. A very neat look and feel which is nice and different compared to the rest of the Orruk Warclans.

It should be noted that the new season of Warhammer Underworlds brings with it a new format. Rivals gives you new pre-made decks which have been made to be competitive right out of the box. This means if you don't want to do deckbuilding then you can just grab that and give it a shot. The Champions format isn't going anywhere though and you will still be able to deckbuild and do whatever you like.

Are you going to be picking up this new edition of Warhammer Underworlds?
