Warhammer 40,000: Conquest Now A Reality From FFG!
March 19, 2014 by brennon
Fantasy Flight Games have properly announced their new living card game, Warhammer 40,000: Conquest. See what you think of this sector spanning warfare game below.
The game sees you taking control of one of the armies from the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Orks, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Tau and Imperial Guard are all present and will be heading into battle behind grand warlords to wrestle authority over the Traxis Sector.
As you can see there are a myriad of different cards all covered in awesome artwork to immerse you in the world of Warhammer 40,000. The aim of the game is to take over planets that bear the symbols (green, red and blue) above and retain control as you move onwards. Each planet will be attacked by your forces before a Warlord commits and gives his expertise to the situation.
You have to be careful however because your Warlord is also a key way that your opponent can claim victory. This looks like it's going to be an awesome game and the prospect for different packs to bring in new and varied Warlords with their own specialisations is exciting!
Will you be picking up Conquest?

Checked some of the details on the FFG site. Minimum deck size is 50 cards. You choose one warlord card, and that warlord has a unique set of cards (about 8 or 9) which he must have in the deck and cannot be changed.… Read more »
The alignment wheel that’s used to determine which other factions you can include in your deck is interesting. It makes me wonder how they’ll fit the Tyranids and Necrons into the game. I assume the Tyranids are too popular to leave out, but they aren’t exactly prime alliance material.
