Fishing Lessons Trailer // Button Shy
Scott Almes, the designer of Greater Than Games' best seller, Tiny Epic Galaxies has teamed up with Button Shy to bring their next soothing title to crowdfunding. Taking a solo journey on a fishing trip, learning some lessons along the way from family members on the lake, in Fishing Lessons.
"It’s been a year since Leland Williams passed on. A year later, his family remembers his humor, warmth and – especially – his love of fishing. You play a member of his family going out on a solo fishing trip. With a specific sporting goal in mind, you’ll recall lessons and memories from Leland. If you piece together the lessons in just the right order, you’ll have a great day on the lake!" - Button Shy
Family Cards // Fishing Lessons
As part of the simply solo line, the new Kickstarter places players on a journey of memory and discovery. Working closely with family members at the start of the game, a unique goal will be set to encourage players to recall a memory of a fishing lesson from their beloved lost friend.
As the fishing aspect was so truly important to Leland, players want to rekindle their pleasant past and their past love for fishing. Over a course of rounds, players will be following a step-by-step memory to ensure they reach their goal. This may be being at a certain place in the lake, or finding a particular fish in the water by the turn of a card. Levelling at a scope of difficulties depending on how much the player wants to be challenged in the sitting.
Moving The Boat // Fishing Lessons
Flipping cards, sourcing different fish and moving the boat to achieve the goals within memory to win. Button Shy has also added a three-card expansion which adds additional two new characters with goals and two new lessons to learn along the way.
There are 8 days left on the clock, and Fishing Lessons is selling for as little as £10 with the expansion cards, ready to be fulfilled by December this year. However, if you would like to experience the game sooner, there is a print-and-play option available for November, which costs as little as £3!
