A Look At The Upcoming Darklight: Memento Mori Kickstarter
January 18, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
Darklight: Memento Mori, by Dark Ice Games, is a cooperative tabletop roleplaying game, from 1 up to 4 players, set in the uniquely fantasy, dark, gothic world of Intermundis, devastated by an apocalyptic event known as the Soul Plague. This looks to be a proper dungeon crawler, where each player will take on the role of a dark Hero.
These Heroes set on a path to rebuild their shattered life by delving through demon infested lands and nightmarish dungeons to acquire treasure and the most valuable currency of all - Souls, used to satisfy the costly demands of the enigmatic Grim Warden.
It sounds like this game has been in the works for several years now and is finally about to make it's appearance through Kickstarter. Though we don't know a tremendous amount about the game yet, the game tiles and miniatures look fantastic. What we do know is that no dungeon master is required, so everyone can participate in the adventures.
The dungeons will be randomly generated, which offers a nice level of replayability. The box will include 70+ 3D printed, plastic minis and the heroes will have independent pieces, so you can customize the pose of your hero.
They've worked very hard to tailor the rules to having most of the information you need on your game cards, which eliminates the need to be in and out of the rule book throughout game play.
This is definitely one to keep an eye out for.
What do you think of Darklight: Memento Mori?

Looks cool. Curious when it will hit Kickstarter though, I’m also interested in Age of Tyrants and too many projects too quickly is going to mean I’ll probably miss out on a few.
Looks interesting. I’ll keep a look out for it when it hits kickstarter.
Looks very good.

What a surprise, yet another cooperative boardgame with lots of fiddly bits on KS! Good looking 3D renders of the models. But we’ve seen this so many times now.
I do like the integrated skulls on the bases, those look pretty neat.
At least it’s not just another attempt to cash in on Zombicide.
