LEGO Comes Out With TRON: Legacy Light Cycle Set
March 30, 2018 by brennon
I'm fully aware that this isn't wargaming, but it's just too cool to ignore. Check out the TRON: Legacy Set that is now available from LEGO!
The set comes with three different characters Sam Flynn, Rinzler, and Quorra. You will also get two Light Cycles in the set for Sam and Rinzler that are just looking superb...
You also get the light effect that comes out of the back of the bike! I think that I'd have far too much fun playing around with this set and it may need to sit on my PC...soon.
It does make me think back to a game that came out last year called Lazer Ryderz. It was a lot of fun and well worth checking out if you can pick it up. It gets the retro thing down as well as having the feel of a proper Light Cycle race on the tabletop.
What do you make of these new LEGO sets and have you played Lazer Ryderz?
Drop your thoughts below...

This is extremely relevant to my interests.

Well these are just fun in all the right ways, shame the movie was a bit ” meh “.
Isn’t these rather late? One would had thought that these would had been released back in 2010 along side with movie’s release rather than almost 8 years later.
Well this one is in the Lego Ideas category which means someone made this set, put it on the Lego Ideas site (https://ideas.lego.com/dashboard) and let people vote for it. If such a set/model get’s enough votes Lego take a look at it and decide if they can make the modek/get the license for it.
The Lego Delorean, Ecto-1, Beatles Yellow Submarine and Wall-E, Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who Tardis, Saturn V and more were all made this way.
More of collectors item than a toy.
A lot of lego sets these days are better classed as ‘collectors item’ than toys.
The 500$ Deathstar set for example … I kind of doubt kids are going to be allowed to touch them when their daddy buys it. 😉
So, when is Lego going to make the Beasts of War crew? Justin is a natural with the on again-off again beard. John would be more difficult juggling tanks and the myriad hobby projects Warren, the Black Hat, has him doing. Lloyd would have to be made of furniture stuffing and Ben only needs a head in a box. Not sure about Lance and Az.
