Travel Into The Mystical Woods In Talisman Expansion

Talisman is one of those games that I would love to pick up and play but I know that it also has plenty of downfalls; it just seems to be a neat classic for the board game shelf. Fantasy Flight have been keeping the game alive however with a whole bunch of expansions, the latest of which is The Woodland...

The Woodland allows you to delve into the mysterious and indeed mystical woodlands of this fantasy world. Five new characters, a bunch of alternative endings and a whole new path for you to tread on the way to the Crown of Command.

In true odd woodland style the new cards for this pathway have their own twist to them. One of them is the Toad King who will turn you into a toad on your first meeting but if you end up returning to him he'll grant you a boon for your troubles!

As well as the new encounters you will also have access to Destiny Cards and Fate, both Dark and Light. Destiny Cards allow you to see somewhat into the future and give you something to strive towards whereas the Fate mechanic changes how some creatures react to you. It certainly adds a level of meta to the experience.
