Jumping into a new deck-building game can be difficult especially if you are keen on the likes of Pokémon TCG from The Pokémon Company International. I, like many of you I imagine, played Pokémon back in the 90s, and when I look at the consistent release schedule for new waves of Pokémon, new generations, with new abilities and variations - it is hard to keep up!

The Pokémon Company International has recently announced their updated version of Pokémon TCG Battle Academy, which helps inquisitive players learn the ropes of the gym in a board game format.

Take this as a Starter Set as you will. You do not have to buy into any other separate cards and decks if you are happy with the ‘core box’. You will be provided with three different 6-card decks to train and play in the Academy.

However, if you were looking at learning the basics to battle out in the wild world within Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon TCG Battle Academy will provide you everything you need to master the tactics and game with tutorial guides and accessories in the box.

The new edition of the box is set to come out sometime in 2022, providing players with an educational experience in the Academy to train to be the very best, like no one ever was.

What do you think of the Pokémon TCG Universe? Would this tempt you to jump back in for a casual game?
